ELITE ACRONYMS

I've been playing for about 4 months now and I have used the fourm a few times for research. I figured I would eventually learn the terminology naturally however it seems to consist mostly of acronyms for longer terms, most seem to refer to various game system (RNG for example, what is it?), ship build types, and ship components.

Can someone please help me out here, what do some of these terms mean, or direct me to a list of terms?

Oh dear, someone mentioned the dreaded RNG. Random Number Generator. The salt is going to flow, IMO.

You missed PNR

Don't feel bad

Had me scratching my head for a few days, but I was not about to ask.

Wow thanks for the quick response, now I know why everyone is using RNG as an expletive. the list is more extensive then I had expected, I'm gonna have to save a local copy.

FTM - 'For the mug'
Shouted by anyone nutty enough to be a Hutton Trucker or having done something truly bonkers. (Which coincidentally is the name of a station we own)

@777Driver you left off
DC - Docking Computer.

And then there's a huge pile of acronyms for the player groups.
AEDC - Alliance Elite Diplomatic Corps
SDC - Smiling Dog Crew
PalCon - Paladin Consolidated
CI - Communism Interstellar
AOS - Alliance Office of Statistics.
PI - Prismatic Imperium
TIIQ - The Imperial InQuisition
BBFA - Blood Brothers From Alrai
AID - The Allies (German)
Canonn - Science story chasers.
Mobius - PvE enthusiasts
AA - Adle's Armarda
AA - Aisling's Angels
AI - Angeli Imperium
ARC - Alliance Raipd Reaction Corps.
SEPP - Social Elieu Progressive Party (explorer group)
it runs on to hundreds

And then if you are part of a group that supports Minor Factions via the BGS, you end up with a pile of acronyms about the factions you are fighting for or against.
ILFE - Independent Leesti For Equality
JPL - Justice Party of Leesti
FFE - Far Flung Entertainment
TRG - Turner Research Group.
PRE - Pleiades Research Enterprise (Feds)
and that list runs to many thousands and is entirely dependent on context - who you are talking to and where you are working.

So a comprehensive list you will not find.
