Not complaining (at all :D ) but shouldn't this thread be in the Patch Notes sub-forum? That's where I looked first when I saw the upgrade prompt in the launcher.

Hm, my FDev Ticket #00000000757 (Discovery Exploit) from 14th Dec hasn't made it through the Queue yet I guess...
Exploit is still there, so no Discovery for me until it's fixed.

I don't think anyone should be taking downtime until we can all play the game.

Once they've sorted the black screen at launch bug I will come on and say good job, but until I can consistently play the game instead of once every 500 attempts I think the devs should be hard at work fixing it.

From the few hours play I did have its been great though :)

To my big disappointment i found that the game still stutters and crawls near planets when in SC. I was hoping you guys would fix that before release, but it looks like i have to deal with that. Or does anybody else experience this too? I'm not talking a slight drop of FPS here, the game will rapidly freeze up to a whole second, making it very hard to even navigate, let alone evade interdictions. I believe this must have something to do with the texture generation, when coming closer to the planets.

I get the occasional hitch, but nothing like as bad as during the Beta stage. I mean literally a stutter for a split second, then its clear...

Guys how big is this update I spent all night downloading version 1.0 on my crap 1.5 megs broadband! Am I gonna spend another night downloading again?

just to update, i got an updated data.ovx from FD support and the issue was resolved - patch upgrade completed without errors :)

Then it must be me. In celebration of the official release, i decided to visit Sol for the first time (the game randomly spawned me some 100ly away from it) and even record a video about it. When i reached Sol i naturally went to all the sights. I had to stop the game out of frustration, because approaching the Moon, the game became unplayable. What could cause this?

My Specs are
Windows 8.1 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600)
AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor (6 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
8192 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (4018 MB RAM).

This is very frustrating.

EDIT: I just found an explanation on the forums. I will try the offered solution, but i don't understand why i still need to tweak graphic setting files manually for this.

EDIT: It did not work, lowering the work per frame value from 256 to 160 (about 60% less) did nothing to stop the stuttering.

still no fix for all of us unable to launch the game ???!

We're not in beta anymore, it's a released game now, so can the devs please fix the priorities to make everyone who paid for this game able to play ?

Thanks.

Why does this seem to always be the way in computer debugging?

Fantastic work guys, I'm sure the community appreciates the blood sweating. So at this rate I'm looking forward to version 2.0 your'e preparing for Xmas Day release, when we land on planets and roam around Starports to work off the Turkey :)
