Maelstrom?

Yes, please fix the faction progression missions.

Also:

"- After yet another discussion with the rare commodity producers, Commanders should now be eligible to only purchase rare goods up to their own personal allocation, instead of buying everybody else's ration as well.

When did it stop being a personal allocation? Or does this just mean there will be even less stock available?

There's your problem. Doing the same route over and over again kills it eventually.

Nope, a minute before the patch it was 1.1k a ton. A minute after the patch it was 600 a ton. All high demand disappeared and in 3 days of searching I haven't yet come across a decent run.

I have 60 million (no rare trades, just simple trading) so I'd like to think I'm not a muppet when it comes to trading.

This game is ....Amazing,

Keep up all the amazing updates. This game is too good. Also can you maybe pls add a watch to the game ? I woke up, sat down to play, and stood up 10 hours later, i didn't even think 5 hours have passed. Thank god im on break or i would be failing some courses atm lol.

Hi everyone,

Here's the full change log for 1.02. Just a few quick changes to make your play experience even smoother! Enjoy! - the servers should be down for around 10-15 minutes from ~12.30GMT 18/12/14

- Allow text chat to function for any voice comms member, not just for friends
- Fix for a rare crash when scanning unexplored systems
- Fix for a rare crash during networked combat
- Fix for a very rare crash in or near starports and outposts
- Fix for a very rare crash after migrating servers on network island changes
- Corrections to some mission descriptions
- Corrections to some galaxy data in rarely visited systems
- Extend a time-out that occasionally triggers a disconnect during hyperspace
- Extend some previously added diagnostics to further refine the data gathered

And there are some server-side changes, too:

- After yet another discussion with the rare commodity producers, Commanders should now be eligible to only purchase rare goods up to their own personal allocation, instead of buying everybody else's ration as well.
- Universal Cartographics has issued a new purchasing policy, so Commanders exploring supermassive stellar bodies should no longer receive supermassive payouts.
- Tune matchmaking to significantly improve the chances of meeting other Commanders in space
- Improvements to Exploration server performance

All your feedback is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Ed

This is all wonderful, but as others have echoed, can you maybe explain what the rare trade thing actually means? and the supermassive thing? I mean it is delightful that the language is entertaining but maybe a paranthesis with the mechanical changes would help?) :) Not that like... it sounds like a good fix to a problem but we have no idea what you actually mean :p

People purchased everybody else's goods all this time? No wonder I got 0 goods per 10 minutes sometimes.

Thanks for the update!

I wonder if they will reset the competition? This bug and if the beta's / abckers are allowed to enter, will have a huge amount already money wise....

Great Job, guys! I'm really enjoying the game.

BTW: Is it just me or in 1.01 smuggling got easier again? By that I mean possible again :) Or maybe I was a bit more lucky

question

I know this has probably already been asked but what are the down times going to be looking like for updates such as this one?

Great......but landing lights not sorted.

Excellent! Getting better every day :)

Devs - could someone take a look at Rare weapon types to see they are working as corrected...
-a number of us are looking since launch and failing to see any at all.

Ah, yes, I don't think it's a bug, just market tweak. We must look harder for some really nice profits per ton and now it's not so easy as it was. :)

congratulations you are really great, despite the lack of something else to the game are working really well, thank you.
