Yup. In fact, you could go for am hour only getting existing but empty instances, the matchmaking appeared to have favored island health over everything else (and empty islands had 100% health)

Can't wait to get home and test this out. I felt really lonely yesterday when I was all alone in the universe ;)

Try flying over to the starter systems (around LHS 3447)...players everywhere! :)

Hi Stalker

Thanks a lot for this - the detailed examples really help. I thought I'd just let you know the dev team really appreciate it and are looking into sorting it right now. They intend to be watching this thread all afternoon for this sort of thing - they've got eyes and ears everywhere that lot.

Thanks mate :)

Ed, seems like the devs were a little overambicious in "fixing" rare trading.
(I don't know what needed to be fixed, as it seemed to work like intended in 1.01.)

Now stations have NO SUPPLY at all.
Maybe someone could have a look at this?

No I think it means, you can no longer wait to try and fill your hold. You get ex amount and that's it. If this is so, FD are doing their best to make it as difficult as possible to make creds. You don't want to know what I think of them atm.

oh .. c'mon :p I had an awesome system of hanging out in federal systems with rare goods doing missions and bounty hunting while slowly filling up my cargo over the course of a day or two, and then heading to another federation rare spot. I get that they want to get rid of people just looking at the trade screen but... meh, I liked my system, it was an excellent incentive to hang out a place for a while, then move on etc.

I liked my system, too. I just started back up. Rare trading actually for the first time had me exploring the galaxy, fighting pirates left and right, and whatnot. It wasn't insane profits, because it took about 2-3 hours to travel that distance.

Sadly, that's pretty much game over. I'm not sure what direction FDev want to take with rare goods - what their vision of that system of trading is.

This... I was really enjoying building rep in an area while slowly filling the hold with rare goods for a long run. Also made things a bit more dangerous/exciting when you'd a hold full of rare goods and the mission involved combat. No point going 120ly for a couple of tons really... :(

I couldn't agree more. This is currently the only thing I'm really enjoying. I'm burnt out a bit on other things. I don't see how messing up rare goods is going to prolong are play time. Just let us enjoy what we enjoy instead of trying to force us to do something else. If this is the new system for rares I think I'm going to be taking a break.

I think the vision is that this is something you might do on rare occasions and not the be all end all way of making money in the game (which it currently seems to be for many people).

It seems like the developers try to NERF every form of trading down to a level that slows down overall player progress.
With every update so far profits went down.
Rare, normal goods...it is just a progression downwards.
Everyone should have gotten the idea behind this by now. :(

also it.. makes no sense persistent universe wise.. the lore is what? that an accountant comes aboard your ship to make sure you don't have a stash of alacarakmo skin art already because then you'd be cheating the other people who might want some? especially since the system as it was had no impact on others.. this is.. a stupid fix to a really small.. non-issue?

maybe fix stuff that actually is problematic for the players first? :p

Great! Thanks :)
I have a minor issue when I start the game from the launcher. I get a black screen for about 2 minutes before the intro screen appears...

Yep. Looks like Frontier new MO is to screw ever last drop of fun out of this game. After all, can't have players making profit!

- After yet another discussion with the rare commodity producers, Commanders should now be eligible to only purchase rare goods up to their own personal allocation, instead of buying everybody else's ration as well.
wasn't this implemented in early gamma? rare trading seemed fine to me
also getting - as the supply

But that's not what it is currently. For the time invested (waiting for a full hold + exploration + interdictions + 10+ jumps), this is less remunerative than bounty hunting or finding a great trade route between two stations.

This is madness

I dont understand

I cant believe this it seems their only preoccupation is keeping low credits in check

I mean seriously what the fak is this?

I'm a bit peeved about this as well. If you're going to severely limit credits then please severely lower the cost of ships and their module upgrades!

Yes I know it would defeat FDs reason for limiting credits...
