Patch Notes Update Elite: Dangerous 1.3.02 incoming

It is my knowledge that upon driver/hardware change or first-time boot, the shaders are built and cached. When you run the game again and there hasn't been any changes, the game simply runs a check for their integrity which is much faster. On my GTX 970 it takes about a minute to build the shaders from scratch and less than 10 seconds to check them. That's my experience, though.
 
- Fix for the various intensities of RES locations. High, normal and low now mean high skill, medium skill and low skill, which they didn't before

Just spent a couple of hours in a (hi)RES got lots of big ships and made about 5 million and it was boring as hell, every single wanted ship was rated Mostly Harmless, I would expect at least Dangerous rating if it is intended to be High Skill.

Oh! maintenance. 3 days continuously at the same hour.
2 hours daily on weekdays I play the game. Right about now.

I agree!!! We understand the need to update and fix errors but there must be a better time for doing this!! At 4BST you are killing the gametime for a lot of people who only have this time to operate. Are these updates a daily thing????

Ok my last post for this day and again sorry for my bad English. I'm a German CMDR and I know English is not my best ;)

I tested now a while and have to say no! Sorry ! Galnet is still not working to me and I don't have a switch in my System map to the Galaxy map!

RES are still ! For me it was great fun in the older ones! In my roleplay the AI doesn't spawn in! They jumped in! ;) And I am waiting for them! It was so big fun to hide behind Asteroids in fight with a big ship like the anaconda or Clipper!
Some of you see big ships in some RES but the most of them are now so boring I could cry!
I spent a lot lot lot lot of time searching the right home system witch the right settings! After Days I found my personnel one! Good numbers of Planets with Rings and good stuff in it!

Good missions on BB. A station witch is controlled by the empire and have only one other crime party. 55% Empire 45% the other! With a perfect mix of ships into the RES sides. Good and near systems witch have good outfitters!
Near to my trading routes! Good mix between red blue and yellow systems.
I don't want to stay there forever bud for a while. Doing my roleplay as a bad ass bounty hunter who sometimes trade a little. Want to rang up and make CH for my dreaming python! ;)

At this point my dreams are gone for now! My super rich ring planet system is just attacked by small pirate ships and I have anaconda protection! lol ( at every RES high low and normal )
Really I spent a lot of time searching it! I do it in my personnel rollplay and love to fall in to this Game and in my role.

Ok I know that is not the end ;) but sometimes patches destroy the fantasy and dreams of the players!

Don't misunderstand me the most fixes are fine and I still have trust to the ED Team. The new bounty hunting system is not bad! It would be an enrichment but don't kill the old RES system!
Some people make a lot more CH by trading so nothing must be changed there!


Hope and pray that next Patch .03 is better than this!

RES is still not fixed. Each and every miner is dangerous or deadly, while the few pirates are mostly harmless. Never had more than 5 targets on my radar too.

And mission rewards are still broken.

When a major update is released there are usually updates every day or every other day until they have addressed the issues and I would expect there to be more updates than normal
this cycle based on the size of the Power Play(1.3) update.

I say this based on past experience with Elite Dangerous releases.
 
Damn, I'm finally able to sit down and enjoy playing Elite in the few hours I have in the day, only to find the servers down :(
I was able to complete one trade run and noticed the commodity profit on my route is significantly lower, unless that's just because of other players trading on the same route. Why did they change the fuel cost again? I thought it was completely reasonable the way it was.
 
The first time I enter the game from the main menu (open play) it shows the UI rendering of my ship for a couple minutes and then "fails to connect to adjudication server". The second time I am able to connect.

Once I'm in the game and go to jump into supercruise, it hangs infinitely with the timer at 000.000 with the "entering supercruise" animation and the audio for the engines continually ascends in pitch like I'm gaining speed. Never get into supercruise and I have to close the game via Task Manager.

Edit: have validated game files, verified firewall settings, etc.

Now go into NVidia Control Panel and turn off the driver's own 'Shader Cache'. You will notice that the game now takes about a minute to start every time, because the cache integrity check is broken and they are fully rebuilt every run.
