Thank you thank you thank you!! You see people, FDev does listen ; )
You mean more pewpewpew, rubbish like PP and RNGineers, don't you?
Remember the hype about that? Remember what we got? Don't get too excited yet folks. I've been on this hype train before, and it ended up in borkedville. Just lower your expectations and hope to be pleasantly surprised.![]()
Core Gameplay indeed means the existing activities such as trading, mining, bounty hunting, exploration missions, planetary landings and so forth.
Many of which could do with some attention and improvement in my opinion.
There's likely to be new content, but that content will most likely be directly related to the existing core activities above.
That's my interpretation - and I really really read your post this time just to be sure I got the answer right![]()
Oh, go suck an egg. Not only do they have no obligation to you, but story missions aren't something that should ever be in the game.
Wow........a very long OP that said absolutely nothing. Not sure why they bothered tbh.

Oh it will probably get fixed in 6 months or so.
I give this a +1I hope this is the case. I think the developers have tried very hard to do the reverse, and have it work out. It hasn't. But they have tried very very hard to do that.
The core needs work. The developers know this and I think this is actually a very promising sign. It's a bit of a scary one for Frontier because sexy new stuff sells, bug fixes less so.
But the game needs work. There's a lot that is almost at the point of requiring an overhaul.
I read this today, and I see this as actual hope. In the last few weeks I had simply resigned myself to the realisation that Frontier were probably going to take the sales road more than the core mechanics road and sort of made my piece with it.
This decision won't have been taken lightly and I am now finding myself hopeful about the future again. Which I swore I would just get over and move on. lol. oh well.
Here's to some long overdue improvements. And if the bling is still added (when it probably makes more logistical and logical sense) then what's not to like?
Reading this update made me very happy.
Also to those having a go for the developer having the temerity of placing stability and core mechanics in a bit more of a focus and why are you paying for that - go find a hobby - a constructive one.
We’re happy to be able to confirm that the next major updates following 2.4 will focus on core gameplay, existing features, quality of life and other improvements!
Yawn, we can always count on you for rampant negativity. Both Power Play & Engineers extended well beyond Pew Pew.
Yes, based on my experience of ED's development, I believe this negativity is not misplaced. With all this blinkered, sycophantic praise going on, people have quickly forgotten how each update has been lambasted by those clamouring for more immersion, something I've been waiting for since v1 was released to the masses. Don't get me wrong, FD have done an excellent job under the hood, and there are loads of little bits and bobs I love about ED, but it is the core part of each update that has been god-awful in my eyes. I'm yet to see an update I can laud, and I really hope I'm pleasantly surprised.
But, basically, Zac has said nothing that hasn't already been hinted at, yet everyone goes gahgah.Just don't build your hopes up, that's all I'm saying.
