This is great. Now I can orbit Earth like worlds for all my grade emission needs and don't have to stick around in the bland, boring black of deep space. Definitely makes for better screenshots.

I thought that Sandro had already said that this had been put back but with a reduced scaling factor. I could be wrong, however.

Sandro mentioned something during their livestream, but alluded that it was included in the Beta but there have not been any official notices for its inclusion/exclusion in production launch of the Beyond update.

Got to say really excited by this update, loved the beta no end and offers some real quality so hats off to devs for their continued hard work (yes talented bunch) but needed to be said.

That is all beta stuff, not final.

Through the Betas they haven't announced any new chances, so that documentation is the current starting point.

I'm sorry, but it's a game for grown people... you wouldn't have enjoyed it. There are several grinds longer than those 9 hours. Btw - those 9h would have been a great time to do some practice on your patience skills. [smile]

I am worried that Steam's launcher will need to wait Steam to actually update it, BEFORE the launcher itself then update the game. Damn.
I remember in 2.0 also a similar issue... some tricks to manually update launcher, then force ED to update etc. I don't even want to remember.

Hope things go smooth.

I used the launcher download from my Frontier account, and just installed it to the Steam Location. Steam will still launch it, and there's no launcher error, but the update cannot be downloaded yet.

Would be nice if the game update was available a few minutes before the servers like it already is for the consoles.

I may just be imagining this, but I think having the beta files on the PC, like I do this time, has made the update go faster in the past.

Sadly (I think) if the launcher is open, Steam tracks it as time played. Which is kinda stupid.

That's probably true, but I think being at the main menu of the game is considered game play with ED. I wish him luck because I don't believe he has the patience for this game!
