I'm an Elite deep space explorer, and all this update does for me is slightly change the colour of the identical moons I can land on, and give me hundreds of extra materials slots I don't need even though I'm in a Sidewinder with no cargo capacity; I mean where does it all go?
But it does plenty against me. It renders my hard-ground Engineering upgrades obsolete unless I abandon my expedition, return 20,000-odd Light-years to the Bubble, re-grind everything, then fly 20,000L-y back out again, for no reason. It adds another element, Carbon, to my FSD Injections, so that now in order to keep the use of all that Jumponium I already collected, I've had to stop what I'm doing and collect a hundred Carbons, for no reason. And it makes me navigate an 'Add to ignore list' sub-menu whenever I try to select a material for collection in my SRV, again for no reason. And still the planetary illumination hasn't been fixed so that only half of a planet is lit up by a star, not half of it plus a bit around the back end as well.
How do the devs sleep at night knowing that their flagship space-sim can't even get planets lit up accurately? Why do the devs hate explorers so much? It's BEYOND: A JOKE—
