Elite Dangerous | Colonisation Facilities & Markets

Hi I've a question about flipping the System/outpost.

So I build a first outpost in a new system, where my faction in not controlling. Once it's built, my faction come in at 3rd place. Should I then pull all the usual BGS levers to get my faction in control of the Outlost and therefore system. And then look to build more?

Or do a build a second outpost and wrestle the control later on? What's the best way to go about it

Up to you, really. Unless you're in a high-traffic area, you can afford to take your time over moving the BGS around anyway.

I'd say in general:
- if you want generally mixed asset ownership, take over later
- if you want most (though not all) assets to be with your chosen faction, take over earlier (and save your system's Retreat opportunity for grabbing some leftovers later)

What i do currently:
1. make sure to do enough to jump the second facion in influence.
2. trigger conflict for control.

Since conflicts are currently broken and mostly do not start, progress or finish, this is all you can do until the BGS is fixed.

Perhaps off topic, but do only certain things count as "facilities" for the 10 you need for the "discount"? I've built 5 things in my system, but the game only seems to count 3 of them.

Is it possible to request a change of planetary settlement type. I have a planet with mining and industrial settlement, and want to change the industrial settlement to refinery. This is in the system, Col 359 Sector SX-T D3-128, planet 3 F. It also have a moon with the same settlements, 3 F A. At the Coriolis station i can't see the settlements on the moon. They are shown as weak links, is that correct?

So is it possible to change the type of mentioned settlement?
Is a moon orbiting a planet supposed to show only weak links to the station orbiting the same planet?

Run missions and trade. Don't stop, or it goes back down.

That is why I have suggested to allow player factions again. Now we have our systems, and the squadron can have a proper home. Tie together that with fleet carriers and you have a new depth to the game. Squadron goals, that with Vanguard will open up new possibilities with BGS, faction wars, spread influence in our own bubble. Suddenly colonizing systems with only one sun starts making sense.

Bear in mind that factions at war are locked, and with the BGS a little buggy, if you can push 2nd faction into war with controlling faction they will effectively be taken out the game. This will allow yr 3rd place faction to leapfrog both with no conflict.

Greetings Commanders,

The current process for growing the market in a Starport is to build up facilities on or around the planetary body that it is orbiting.

We are continuously iterating on the design implemented, and we will continue to investigate ways to allow all facilities to find a route to market elsewhere within that star system. We have read your feedback and we are taking it into account in our investigation.

Thank you for continuing to share your thoughts during this Beta process and helping us to improve Trailblazers.
Paul, what if your primary port is orbiting a landable planet/moon but you cannot place any facility on that same planet/moon.

I find it a bit frustrating : I built an Orbis, but it ended up belonging to the third faction, which only has 7% influence, whereas my faction holds nearly 70%.
Yeah that is uncool. I hope they eventually adjust this so that the top faction gets the biggest build.

Allow Pranav Antal into your systems life, we can then 're-educate' any folks that are unhappy ;)

Incorrect. You open Kumo Burger ground facility and eat them.

After all, thats why they are called 'Happy' Meals.....
