Elite Dangerous | Commodities Market Issue Update

That is great... the starport we built is finally a real starport. Even with the planetary influence of extraction & industrial eating into the supplies. But more supply than we will ever need!

With those Numbers you're set for good in that System and beyond. Provided you don't update Inara and have all them Coloniser Locusts descent upon you and buy you dry! Also, that amount of Scrap would be a dream for Rust Players.

Greetings Commanders,

We have released a small server side update to address an issue affecting a number of planetary port commodity markets.

With this update those affected will no longer have planetary constructions limiting supply and demand to only three commodities. We anticipate it will take approximately 24 hours for the change to apply to all affected markets.

Please continue to report any issues you encounter on the issue tracker during the System Colonisation Beta.
I wish this meant that you would also make Emergency Power Cells available to be purchased from all planet side refinery or high tech ports/outposts since they are only available within 30 ly of the Akhenaten system.

this is truly bad for people wanting to go anywhere with colonisation as all the ground infrastructure such as ports, outposts, settlements, hubs etc. need them, this is a really bad restriction for the commodity.

Checked one Industral Surface Port I finished in the past, and the market is indeed populated correctly by the looks of it (Inara)

Checked a Civilian Surface Port, the market is still empty even with a Refinery Hub next to it. Presumably this is because the Port still has a 1.00 Colony economy (so maybe a separate issue?) (Inara)

How can market refresh and pick up these changes? I understand building another structure/orbital can help but this is not possible on planets / orbits where all slots are already occupied.

I think there can be as many locusts as they want to. Will need quite a lot to dry up that supply.

Probably true for most Mats, but when I checked the Bletii System yesterday, the Trailblazer Megaship was on it's last 3k of Steel. Doubt it had a chance to replenish much since. So when that one is already sucked dry like this, any place can follow suit the same way. The only Thing that'll make it safe is that people are reluctant to land on Planets, too inconvenient for most.

My T1 surface port with a 100% refinery influence from 2 refinery hubs, working mission board etc. still has an empty commodity market, no supply or demand.

Glad I didn't build a T3.

Looking forward to the fix...

Our Fleet carriers crews go to planetaries just for CMM Composites and Ceramic Composites. For all else the roundtrip takes too long.

This particular update does not address this issue. It is focused on the issue mentioned above.

This update affects planetary ports specifically. We are continuing to work on other improvements to economy and population for System Colonisation.
and is there any words on the reverting from the planet influence for space stations? you last said take up to 2 weeks, and that 2nd week is coming to a close soon with still no reverting in sight.

if there is space, build another farm, it will restart the economy and you will have metals.

You've answered your own question there. Wait until two weeks. And me personally, I would suggest waiting until the first Thursday following those two weeks, so on Thurs 24th April after the weekly maintenance, we might see some effect.

My High Tech scientific surface outpost now has full commodity market (y)

But still no Universal Cartogaphics or outfitting, even though the system Tech Level and Development Level should be high enough (29 and 17 respectively as calculated by the DaftMav's spreadsheet) and my other High Tech orbital outpost (Commercial outpost with a Relay installation next to it) has had both for a long time now...

Commodities refresh every 15 minutes or so. That wasn't the last 5k, just how much could be picked up every few minutes.

Question:

Do surface settlements only influence markets of orbital stations that orbit the same planet as the surface settlement?

Or, do surface settlements influence the entire system?

Sorry if this question has been addressed elsewhere.
