I have seen this in the past couple of days - only today did it decide to go down to 3mo 3wk 6d - which is right for the date the app is counting down to, which is March 1st 2014 (taken from the Kickstarter Estimated delivery times).

Not quite sure what was happening there because it seems to be okay now!

Just wait and see what happens when it gets to zero! ;)

Very buggy on my Sony Xperia S Android 4.2 Crashes most of the time when I try to set a wallpaper. Also, the countdown does not show up when the wallpaper has been set. I sent a bug report.

I have been using to show off the wallpapers to my family/friends :p Most of whom look like this :rolleyes:

Yeah, there's something funky going on with Android 4.2 - think I've got it fixed for the next update though. Made some adjustments with widget as well. Fingers crossed! :)

I have a Samsung Galaxy S III.

When I hold to set wallpaper the follow message appears;

Unfortunately, Elite: Dangerous - Countdown has stopped.

However, when I exit the app and reopen it, my saved wallpaper is there and the countdown is working again.

Should this be saving onto my homescreen as the wallpaper or only as the image displayed when I load the app?

Long-pressing an image within the app sets it as a wallpaper on your android device. The app will also remember which image you were on the last time you were using it. But it would appear there are issues with how android handles bitmaps and memory, which is what is causing the problems on some devices.

An attempted fix is uploaded and should be available within the next few hours. Can you guys let me know if the update fixed your crashes?

Tip my hat to your creativity ... sadly I don't have an Android device.

Any thoughts on releasing on iOS or does Apple make that too much of a pain in the rear ?

Sadly not, unless I can download objective-c knowledge, matrix-style! :cool: There's also the small matter of a $100 developer's fee... :eek: (Android is much cheaper! ;) )

edit.......all good, liking the new wallpapers and settings work fine to.

Good Evening Commanders!

So, I may have a fix for the crash issues some people are still having (at least I can't reproduce on it my emulator any more).

Quick question - shall I just drop the fix or should I scout around for some more wallpapers?

Goodstuff, will go look for new wallpapers, have mine already on changing every hour, its great having a different one when i log on, thanks again for doing this, a great app!

My home screen now changes its wallpaper every hour or so, not sure if that was your plan but I like it - a different picture every time I pull my phone out of my pocket.

Keep the wallpapers coming :smilie:
