Elite Dangerous Exobiology Rank Threshold Rebalance Information

Not sure where else to put this, but as of this post date, I am now Elite in Exobiology and this is the total profit from organic data. Not 8.4 Bn credits. Just before ranking Elite, I had 4.8 bn, and was Geneticist. The last turn in, that put me over was 115M (including bonuses).

My own path started at release of Ody, before the buff. Went through the nerf, got re-adjusted, sat at Geneticist 0% for a long time (despite continuing to chip away at it), eventually "caught up" to my rank, when total profits were somewhere over 1 bn, but under 1.5 bn, so long before the 3.9bn in the previous tables.

So, I conclude the tabulated values are out dated, and that the present targets are at about 50% (roughly) of what's shown here and in the wiki.

The values in the exobio wiki were correct at the time.
They may still be correct and there may be an issue with your recorded profit values - i would say further testing is needed

I'd say the wiki is correct. I'm at 7,568,070,000 Cr and not Elite yet.

I'm at 9.6bn and Elite.
I'd suspect some error in the Codex.

I read elsewhere that the credits paid out is no longer what counts, it's the number of samples handed in. I've had payouts ranging between 10 million to over 200 million, so the 17 million stated on the wiki article for Elite II is not correct. Also, I've been selling samples since the rebalance (and making a huge number of credits) but there is still no progress showing on my Elite I rank to get to Elite II.

I'd say the wiki is correct. I'm at 7,568,070,000 Cr and not Elite yet.

I had an opportunity to test this with a new alt just coming up to exobiology elite.

while 8.387 B Cr was the figure before turn-in, so the wiki's 8,426,250,000 Cr looks "on the money" (sorry!) to me also.

I’ve been playing elite since it came out and JUST started exobiology to fund a carrier. I scanned my first exo data on Friday of last week and today (Wednesday) I have handed in 1.195Bn Cr worth of data and just got the Taxonomy rank in that block which points at the table still being correct. I will let you all know as I continue because getting elite will fund the carrier completely for me.
