I've been sensing a tightly contained excitement from the Frontier staff, though developers do get excited over the oddest things sometimes, it is still reassuring.
Still keeping a lid on my expectations, it's always better going in with lower expectations to be pleasantly surprised, than hyping yourself up, only to be disappointed.
Also if PR people are getting excited, that means a flashy trailers big bang announcment, they love that stuff.

Doesn't have to run faster...just look better...
And even if it did run, let's say 5-10%, faster I don't really think that would satisfy peoples expectations.
