That is a genius plan.....thanks for suggesting it. I know it's obvious but I never would have thought of it.

After a sec of thought - err...

I already have an account. Two in fact if you count unused kid's. Adding another just because it's free? Naah. I'll pass.
And it's Epic. Somehow this raises red flag, so double pass. One account is enough not to play, no need to have 3.

Oh, well... guess i will get a 3rd account... even if only to use it in the starter zones to engage in pillow fights with other noobs (or other pretended noobs) until FD gives me the boot out of the starter zones, then clear save :)

Well I think this is great news.
Means my son can now play the game also on his computer.
For those people that don't like Epic, also consider that they offer the most awesome Unreal Engine development tool for free and some of their weekly give away games are AAA all be it usually around 5 year old ones now.
I think Epic are good in their own way and certainly better than EA etc.

Elite Dangerous free on Epic can bring a lot of players who may by ship paint jobs etc...

So I guess next week I can download ED from Epic, then immediately delete it. And then at any time in the future, re-install it again (for free)?

That's great, but I don't trust the Epic Store (Tencent owns 40%) so I'll stick to Steam.

Still bemused why FD have never offered integrated additional accounts for say £5-10 a pop, which you then simply select in the game's main menu. So all game settings, bindings, in game purchases (eg: paintjobs) and indeed the entire game version are them seemless around your multiple accounts.
