Credit/hour guesstimates are my own. YMMV.
...that's your own money, it comes from the carrier's balance.I make most of my credits selling through the bartender on my carrier.

I suspect that he sells on foot mats to other commanders at 100X markup.
AFAIK, only Inara. Sometimes you see carrier names that indicates some kind of selling. Is there some resource available providing market data for Odyssey mats? Like who is selling what, where they're selling it and for how much?
Yes, Inara has that. Go to Data and Components. Select "I want to buy". You'll see all the carriers with what they have available. You can filter by component but it's good to know what they have in stock before you go. Some things like power regulators and certain data doesn't last long, and by that I mean an hour after posting quite often it will be gone.Is there some resource available providing market data for Odyssey mats? Like who is selling what, where they're selling it and for how much?
Also if you're pledged to one of the powers, you can get double the payout on bounties in their areas. I tried that route but I didn't have enough activity from the power to have any systems to hunt and I don't care for delivering messages.Acknowledging that it varies, the Massacre mission-stacking can become an order of magnitude higher than that:
When the actual kills take mere seconds each, it becomes all about using the fastest starship for moving those large weapons around and reducing the time between kills, which means using the Mamba. Commanders working towards something like that can expect to reach 250–500 million hourly quite easily, and to exceed 1 billion hourly once perfected!
- To contradict things a bit, it is ultimately less efficient to hunt while in a Wing because sharing a Wing mission does not work well at all with stacking them. With the simpler starship builds it can help to hunt together without sharing missions, although I find that does not beat four solo Commanders each using an improved solo build.
- It is fine to accept the Wing missions and proceed alone though; despite the inflated quotas, the combined mission credits per kill matches the Solo missions if shared with two other Commanders, and exceeds it if shared with three others.
- Using a Fragment cannon Mamba to stab shields away and detonate power plants, especially when one understands gear-boosting, makes hunting veryfast! I never drop below two correct-faction kills per minute in a hazardous RES, and I exceed that often.
- The stabbing and generally closer action is why the actual hunting also works best while Solo, once one uses such a build.
- I use a class 4 Beam laser with it; full Fragment cannons also works, and notably the cheaper Alliance Chieftain also does that well.
- At maximum rank and reputation and with missions from a single port (the "Shop") for a single pirate faction with a hazardous RES available (the "Arena"), stacking Solo missions six ways gives just over 8 million mission credits per kill, or 960 million hourlyat said rate below which I do not drop.
- That is only the mission rewards; the bounty vouchers are extra. I waive that to account for time spent docked and in Supercruise.
- The solo missions are also slightly higher; I use 40 million per 30 kills for estimates, but in reality it is 41–42.
- Six-faction Shops are also an underestimate—there are many with seven. Finding and tracking such locations was the original goal of our lovely system INTRA, with commentary and usage here. Mind that faction states affect this daily; it pays well to establish reputation at a few places you like.
Inara does barkeep markets but I don't think those are very reliable. You can also try this thread. Is there some resource available providing market data for Odyssey mats? Like who is selling what, where they're selling it and for how much?

The mission stacking needs to take into account the time to pick up the missions, and it needs to factor in the bounties attached to these kills. With a KWS you can do pretty well especially right now that a lot of the instances don't have wing help that actually does anything.

If we're including all methods of making credits, high ground CZs should be on there as it's definitely more than the road to riches figures.
True, I only mentioned it as at least half the activities on there would already be ambitious targets for new players to earn those figures. This one - chaining a ground High CZ using srv relogski is definitely quite lucrative - but then again, it's not newb friendly since it requires a good setup of G5 dominator+ 2xG5L6 and good combat skills - cause dying (and losing the srv in the process) will definitely hurt the precious Cr/hour - but it's one of my favorites CR making activities
Especially exobiology, you spend half a day just poking around. Once you find something worthy, then the clock starts on making money. If you had to spend as much time with other other activities like xeno or massacre missions, you'd have to count that time in there. It's probably why no one does the 122K light second run to the target signal threat level 4 vs just finding a RES site or CNB.Those are some really debatable numbers (except 1 and 2 which do require getting a decent group of players)
Exobiology is also grossly overrated - it requires first discovery bonus and pure luck to find fat systems with a good number of Bios and quite intimate knowing of Exobio or a complete lack of "being a completionist" and scan everything on each planet, else you might find spending 2 hours on a single planet to find that last bio
For example, Robigo under no circumstances yields 150millions per hour - not even for the first hour.
Usually it does around 100-110 millions for the first hour, then the mission board dries up and it less than 100 millions.
And that only if the pilot is skilled enough to be able to do 6 runs per hour and lucky enough to get some more of the fat (almost) 5 millions missions - which are rather rare
Massacre missions comes in 2 variances - not sure what you;'re meaning
If we're talking about War massacre missions, you can get wing missions requiring to kill 72 ship for close to 50 millions (but only if you are allied with the faction - which requires some work to get there) - in a wing of 4 each picking and sharing a mission, it's easily 200 millions per hour assuming the wing is capable enough to kill 72 ships in one hour - that would mean doing about 1 CZ in 10-12 minutes (which should be a cake for a competent wing with good ships, but not easy for newbs with no engineering)
If we're taking about stacking pirate massacre missions - they're easier and can net more than 100 millions per hour for the solo commander (but again, not newb friendly either)
But, all in all, there are plenty of ways to make silly amounts of credits - but i do think they went overboard with xeno hunting payments especially corroborated with not losing combat bonds at all, no matter what
Though if the figures are the optimised ones for someone who knows what they're doing, you can certainly skip that step:Especially exobiology, you spend half a day just poking around.
Maverick + Executioner + Tormentor for me.This one - chaining a ground High CZ using srv relogski is definitely quite lucrative - but then again, it's not newb friendly since it requires a good setup of G5 dominator+ 2xG5L6 and good combat skills - cause dying (and losing the srv in the process) will definitely hurt the precious Cr/hour - but it's one of my favorites CR making activities
