Roadmap
While I appreciate the update; this roadmap is barely sufficient, at least it tells us your going to spend some time working on it it, but some of the big issues affecting the community don't even get a mention. Do you really think 3 weeks is going to be enough to resolve everything? I was expecting a 3 month roadmap, not one for the month of June.
And your suggestion of monthly community updates: Great in principle, though we'll have to see what the content is and how open you actually are about what work is going on (I don't know if they still are, but Warframe used to be a gold standard for this). But you do realise that your entire roadmap doesn't even last for the interval between community updates? That's not a roadmap, that's a "here's what we hope to do before the next time we talk". A roadmap should have some real details (at least in terms of major content changes) for the next 6 months.
As for the release itself:
How on earth did you release something in this bad a state. You had to know the game was in this state, this can't be a surprise to you. Which makes the decision to release incredibly dishonest; you basically lied to your customers when you said "Here, have a full working expansion for the game".
I can accept that Elite isn't likely a major money spinner and thus doesn't have a large development team, but if that's the case you could have been honest and just de-scoped the expansion.
I mean, all you really had to do was release it as early access and then give us a real roadmap (not this piddling 3 week thing) leading up to the main release timed with the console release. A lot of people would still have bought it, giving you that cash infusion which I assume was your only actual real concern, but at least we'd have expected it to be a bare bones, partial implementation full of holes and bugs (which is of course what it is) not release quality software (which it's not).
