Maybe for the subset of players who have bought in to VR. For those who have not, flat screen is the way.
im expecting 200 posts about lack of VR shortly. stay tuned.
but on a serious note, graphics look amazing ! sampling flora is also really nice! i cant wait to see the "combat and fps gameplay" dev diary. well done FDEV. im glad the dev diaries are back![]()
That it may be, in the opinion of those who have access to the equipment. This was not the point. The point was that the best way of creating a feeling for actually being there and get that awe-inspiring sense of scale is VR. Having a flat screen a meter away is like watching a documentary in comparison.
That it might - at a hardware pricepoint that might restrict access to a relatively small subset of the player-base.I never said flatscreen should not be an option, just that VR is what would best embody all they say they want to convey.
Here come the VR boys
Dear Frontier, not this post does not represent everyone who owns VR. If Odyssey lives up to these videos, I'll buy it, VR or not.sorry but NO VR, NO BUY
Here come the VR boys to destroy the thread.
You already have your answers. Not at launch and they are investigating it.
I'm easily pleased and expect nothing,Really?? I mean the only difference to the current SRV is just the missing thrusters on the wheels... I would expect much more than this 5 years later the first SRV...
Tonight, we will be streaming a Discovery Scanner episode at 18:00 (UTC) on the Elite Dangerous Official Twitch Channel, to take a deeper look into the dev diary with CEO David Braben, and Senior Designer Derin Halil.
I second this. VR support is a must for me and the more voices we have the better.
ED is a VR game to many.
I only have one problem with this statement also resumed few times by FDEV in the video...One small step for man
There's a thread with 7k posts on it. We don't need a other. Cheers.
We've been told that VR is not being removed from existing game content - so neither are VR players losing their display method.Flatscreen players are not in a position where they are gonna lose their display method.
HDMI adapters for phones exist.I'm sure if it was announced Odyssey would be mobile only those who use giant flatscreens would be unhappy
