Just wanted to add my thanks for a great guide! As a KS backer I'm hoping I'll be able to start playing on Saturday/Sunday and I now feel a whole lot more prepared ;-)

that's the thing - if you can play the game you don't care about manuals or help, but when you know the game is there but you can't play it now then you are sucking all available information you can find :)

Thanx a bunch for the guide. It helped me out immensely. Especially the custom bindings for the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotus X. Will that be updated anytime soon with the new settings for beta 3.09? I'm kind of lost without it.

love the new 3.9, but need help Exiting the game. When I save and exit game, I'm put into an all-black screen. I Alt-Tabbed to my desktop, but the Elite Dangerous client window remained as a black box if I click on it. Can't "close it"

if someone will provide me with new layout then sure, but i don't have these hotas so i can't make it myself ;/

Start task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL->choose start task manager->applications->select Elite Dangerous Client->End Task) and force quit the Elide Dangerous Client, it's only way ;/

I tried making my own last night, but the game doesn't seem to want to see any user made files. I changed the name of the Thurstmaster TFlight bind file and ED still would only see that file with the changed name. If you move it out of the folder and try to put your own in, it just doesn't show up at all. It seems like they have locked it down. I'll try just copying the whole one I created into the file. Been trying to keep the original clean.

Thank you forger for this Pilot's Guide / Manual.

You've done a fantastic job and it was great being able to read it whilst on the train to work, wishing I was at home playing Elite: Dangerous.

Wishing I hadn't moved off the PC to the Mac - I can never get on the PC's now as my sons are playing minecraft. Desperately waiting for Mac version....

more like 8-11 depending on situation, but yes, didn't update that part for long time :)
i was thinking to play gamma a little and then go through all guide and update, but if anyone wants to help - please do so, just message me (or post here) page->mistake list ;)

Thanks for the brilliant manual. :D

Just a quick question, I downloaded the latest version just a moment ago but the version number is still the same as the old one, 1.08?

Is that really the latest version 1.09?

i didn't update printer friendly version but "unfriendly" should be latest... ;)

edited main post to have versions, i will make friendly version next time i update unfriendly one :)

Hi, forger. I've seen a few errors in the manual, but I didn't know if you were just going to rewrite it or just change things here and there. It sounds like you want to know the errors in the present version, so I'll take another look and make a list for your perusal. Thanks for a fine reference.
