Hi Folks. Quick update - just confirmed that there will be copies of Premonition available at the Expo and you can get them signed if you wish. :) Anybody who already has a copy is more than welcome to bring them along too.

Loved the book! :), was gutted when I'd finished it, lol, I may have to get the paperback ;).

Btw, a few questions, how come ship's were being mass locked from jumping systems in the book? (When in game, as I'm sure you know, that can't happen. Did I mis-read it??).
And both your book & ingame, beacons being deployed around ELWs are mentioned as part of the Dynasty project, but none have been found yet (bar the 12 at each Dynasty base), so do they actually exist in game?
Also I see that SDCs HP was replaced by the 'Besieger', I wondered what the reasons for that were?

I can probably answer that one. "Beseiger" is HP's forum name and has slightly less copyright issues than Harry Potter(tm). Plus it's a much better name from a non-immersion wrecking science fiction perspective.

I am on mobile (and a non native speaker), so sorry for rushing out a few points just briefly.

I am quite new to Elite (started it with the PS4 release) and finished ED: Reclamation and just now Premonition. First of all: well done, I really enjoyed both books (and Mostly Harmless as well).

Careful, SPOILERS below.

A few questions came to my mind after finishing Premonition (probably there'll be a lot more):
1. As far as I understood Bill Turner was shot (around page 400). Why is he still an engineer ingame?
2. Rebecca gathered all the necessary information by herself. Why didn't she release the signal from the Cor Meum Et Animam herself to trigger the message in Teorge?
3. Is there a secret left in the Formidine Rift or is it all about the club having a contingency plan for "exodus", in case we won't have a chance when the Klaxians arrive? If yes, what kind of secret?
4. Are the beacons, seeders, biofilters, abandoned stations on and around the elw's in the escape corridors set out by project Dynasty also visible ingame (and were they found already)?
5. What are the biggest secrets yet to be solved in the ED universe? Would like to know more :) Heard and read about Raxxla, Guardians and of course the current invasion...

Great game and lore, looking forward to more books (anything planned?) and ingame events.

Hi Nerix,

1. You're assuming he was killed. ;)
2. Rebecca had been to the Rift, but not the Conflux or Hawkings' gap. Those had to be discovered before the message was released. Rebecca knew she would be killed the moment the OTSEAF clue was transmitted.
3. Good question.
4. One for the Formidine Rifters.
5. Raxxla is the main one, but the secret of locked permit sectors is yet to be revealed.

Btw Drew, someone in JV.com French forums is stating that he found a planet named "?", afterward he scanned it again and it says "Raxxla".
Not sure if hoax or not, but he will provide us with a screenshot/video tonight.
He's 15k LY from Sol.

Drew, please don't take down the oolite saga you wrote. It's a great read and I love the subtle way you made reference to it in Premonition (and also raising a number of interesting questions! :))
