yuppWait, does this mean that we can still purchase future expansions and paint jobs and stuff from your store here and they'll be linked to our steam account AND you guys will get 100% of the cut like before?
... but sticking with the EliteDangerous.com store remains the best way to support ongoing development with 100 percent of your money on future purchases. We especially appreciate it when you buy direct from us, but we're happy for you to play how and where you like. Just enjoy the game, and fly safe Commanders!

Er, what? The post you quoted states in plain text that you can continue to purchase from Frontier's store. And this is why I won't be generating a Steam key, nice that you're giving people the option though.
This looks like misinformation. Where did you get that from? No, I think what he means is that going forward Valve gets a cut of all your future purchases if you generate a steam key, even if you purchase future things on the FD store. Personally, I'd rather 100% of my money goes toward development at FD, so I won't be generating a Steam key.

No, the purpose of linking your account only serves as though you bought ONLY the game license from Steam. You are still going to buy extras from Elite: Dangerous store, so no profit will be made by Steam when you purchase an extra.I would also want a clarification about future purchases.
If I link the accounts does that mean that all future paintjobs/cosmetics/expansions even if done through your store will mean less profit for you? Will it no longer be possible to make a purchase straight from you?
