Have a game breaking experience.. stayed on the colonisation ship while my buddy completed the port.
Was not online at that time, colonisation ship departed with me on it...
Unable to login or do anything now :(

I'm hostage at the colonisation ship it seems.

Hey.

We're aware of this issue and investigating. In the meantime, anyone running into this can free themselves using the stuck recovery option found under "Help and info" in the main menu.

Hello. Isn't there some kind of solution to my problem?

After looking up all the building types there is one big question:
Where are the refineries?

So far i only know of a "refinery hub" as a surface station.
There are no refinery outposts. And no surface stations with landing pads.

Where will all the materials for colonization come from?

"Optional construction methods" like for example paid by ingame money should consider few things: time needed for construction, costs and benefits to player. I for example would like to have bonus in case of "manually hauled" structures. I also expect huge complains potential if someone would be allowed to just "buy" his way to distant/special places (myself would dislike this for sure).
In the form that everything is easy, although it's a bit tedious to do in a team. But you'll burn out quickly on your own. Especially if the efficiency is minimal at the end of the construction.
Many people want faster gameplay. These are streamers and leaders, 68 pilots can be asked to drive. And by building the largest station.
I flew along the edge of the bubble before going to bed, and many construction sites were stuck at 2%. Everyone started building, but since they didn't know what was going to happen, they stopped building.

I would be happy if I was allowed to build a personal base. Even if I had to personally dig asteroids. But to have more features available.
Yes, I agree that these are just dreams and most of my desires will not be realized. The forum is a place for communication and exchange of thoughts.
The main thing is that the moderators do not block for the slightest reason. And they gave the idea a wish to the developers.
P.S. The other day, I received a streamer block that shot 1000+ videos for the Elite. For the fact that he does not sit on the forum and did not see that posts had already been created on his topic.

Saying that, I flew to a likely (inhabited) spot and checked EDSM to see what was in the available systems before making the choice. - But I was acutely aware that systems were being snuffled up quickly.

There's definitely been a surge in new colonization sites lately, at least around my area. Bad on one hand since a second system I've been targeting has been claimed. Good on the other since I will be able to leapfrog further towards the galaxy periphery once the new sites are done.

Good point. We need information as to what each hub does, if it provides refinery output similar to the other hubs, or if it's a place to collect refinery cargo produced by refinery settlements that don't seem to be buildable at the moment due to not appearing in the build menu.

I scouted out systems the other way around: fly to the potential colony, use the galaxy map to check there's an inhabited system inside 10ly (now 15), fss fully to see what's in it, jump to the next potential system rinse repeat.

Pretty sure I wouldn't want to colonise a system I hadn't even visited.

I suppose pretty soon there'll be a 3rd party site which can tell you all about systems inside colonisation range of other systems without having to visit, since the bubble's data is generally well recorded, but that's way too dull and dry for me.
It's bad when you have to use third-party resources. It would be convenient if there is a green point available for colonization of the system. There was a mark of the number of bodies in the system.

You need to grind for hours to found the system. You expect from players first grind for ton of cash, and then grind countless hours for station? This isn't fun - this seems like masochizm. Not to mention that station naming is great cash - flow for the game.
I think there is one great alternative. If we would have two option - claim, claim and fund. First as is, second for let's say 1-5bln and your station would be slowly gain resources from "NPC's" working for you (depending on amount in 1-4 weeks). This way you can help experienced players to expand. Or let other players to focus on other activities to then fund it. Of course - this would be applicable only for new claim. You could still haul by yourself to speed up the process or focus on expanding current system by yourself. Best from both worlds and no bottleneck for new players
don't misunderstand, i prefer to pay more and have less trucking.

It's a veritable gold rush. I'm sticking with one system for now, there's much building (and hauling!) to be done there.

Greetings Commanders,

With the launch of our Trailblazers update we will be bringing System Colonisation to Elite Dangerous! The launch of System Colonisation will be as a live Beta for the feature, allowing us to review data and make adjustments over time. This is a significant update to Elite Dangerous and whilst we are very happy with the feature we do understand that some fine tuning may be required initially.

Though this is a Beta it will be on the live version of the game and any actions/progress made will NOT be wiped unless a significant issue is identified. Here is a brief explanation of how the Beta works:

✅ What the System Colonisation Beta is
  • Feature complete
  • All actions/resource payments made are final and will not be refunded
  • A period where we can monitor data and make balancing adjustments

❌ What the System Colonisation Beta is not
  • A work in progress
  • There will be no progress wipes
  • There will be no resource refunds

The aim of the Beta is to gather data and feedback specifically focused on resource balancing. We are happy with the System Colonisation feature itself and whilst we are always happy for you to share your feedback the aim of this Beta is aimed firmly at resource balancing and not changes to the feature itself.

To help us in our balancing we will be using this thread for you to share your feedback on the following areas:
  • Amount of resources required
  • Amount of time/distance taken to complete tasks
As always you are welcome to share additional feedback on the forums or to raise an issues you encounter on our Issue Tracker.
Hi Paul
I'm not sure if you (The Dev team) are still looking at CMM Composite availability but there still seems a huge shortage see screenshot I still need 14k+ and there doesn't appear to be 14k in the game now if I am missing something please let me know.
is there plans to increase qty availability again or reduce the required amount...?

minor possible Bug: a finished Station (Oupost) doesn´t show Orbital lines (or do they once upon BGS Tick they get fully operational ?

I would think that we will never be able to rename systems as that would break the Galmap for everyone.
I seriously hope that FD reserves that right to themselves - however, once a system is colonized (completed primary port incl. staffing per BGS Tick), a more appropriate System Name than Tweedledum Sector xy-z d0-01 should be assigned by FD

There is no shortage. Only every sensible CMDR has disabled updating inara before landing at a CMM Composite station.

You can grab all the CMMs that are at the station then fill up the rest with metals.

Flying by inara supplies is not tue right way to do the things. Fly to the ones you know but that noone updates.

I stopped my Inara updates too once I realized that people were probably using that data to hoard supplies on their FCs. In which case, they're free to do it on their own, I'm not going to help 🙅‍♂️

And how would the Galmap be updated for every player ?, The names are generated by the Stellar forge so a huge task.
The Galmap would need an update downloaded for every system renamed otherwise all players would be out of sync, all third party tools would be broken and your logs would be a mess.

Find any land base where it is produced and buy it every 3 minutes. There will be 30 pieces each. And so we hope that we will be able to create production and later the problem with their production will be resolved. This is an industrial spaceport.
