Will there be a way to prevent systems from being taken from other players who spent time and resources traveling X lightyears to a specific location? For example, a commander wanting to colonize a star system 200 LY away. After 190 LY traveled, someone goes to their colonization contact and takes the destination star for themselves, blocking the commander who took weeks to get there.

To latch on to a few recent comments: I do not suppose there is any: "economic viability" factor to it, where you'd have to consider the current/future supply/demand situation in the surrounding region of space, as well as within the system, and exploit whatever level of resources the system may have, accordingly -- perhaps involving things like prospecting for optimal placement of installations, and not overestablishing so you wind up with fifteeen empty malls that can not support themselves..? :p

As someone who is about to startup a fleet carrier based player bubble in the Arcadian Stream, in very much the same vein as Azura Initiative has, will we be able to launch colonization initiatives from Explorers Anchorage, Colonia, or will we have to start all the way from the Sol Bubble? If we do have to start from the Sol Bubble, what sort of time frame would be expected for a group to reach all the way to the northern part of “The Stream”?

Naming system / ports / planets... doable or too risky of inapproriate nonsense? How about a randomized word 'spinner' so that people can at least choose from a randomized set of clean words - maybe where the player can choose starting letters or something

Will a room be available (like onboard carriers) for the system architect - either in a space port or ground settlement? This would be a really good incentive if the architect could log out/back in at their private room in the system (help to "sell" the concept of it being YOUR system). Customisable too would be great.

Many player group projects involve distant sites such as Voqooe, the Azura Initiative, and of course Beagle Point. These enterprises could largely be satisfied by a single long-distance colonization move and then using the normal colonization contact mechanics from the live stream. Are you all considering a mechanic to allow player groups to launch such special long-hops with initial release and/or subsequent updates?
