Outposts have specific economies

Outposts have fixed economies except the Civilian one. They aren't influenced by other facilities.
This is not correct. My commercial outpost is now colony/refinery.

Outposts of the type Colony can change economies, the rest are fixed.

All outposts should support 2 economy types. Primary and secondary. Primary might be fixed but that should not stop any outpost from taking influence from their surroundings for the second economy type. This doesn't seem to reliably happen at this stage.

AFAIK they do - my Scientific Out post definetly also has a good spectrum of industrial goods

They can but it's irregular as to if they do. I've got 3 outposts still waiting for market influence to touch them and they're all same body influences I'm trying to apply. I suspect whatever colonisation tick is supposed to happen is just overloaded and not getting everywhere. This complicates testing as it's hard to tell the difference between not working and not working because the background process hasn't done it's thing yet.

My Scientific Outpost also is still awaiting the Thursdays Tick to fully activate. Yet the influence of the 2 HighTec-Hubs & 1 Ind-Hub at the Planet on Market supply is recognizable the very moment a structure is complete...

edit: System Stats show HighTec/Colony nevertheless....

I'm in the same place but I would like to know if, for example, building other hubs, for example hi-tec and industrial, has an impact on the amount of materials sold on the market or does it not matter? I'm trying to build something like a colony researching biology introduced in Odyssey, I have an outpost above the planet with six signals, a science outpost and a science hub on the planet, I have space in orbit to build a hospital which should have a positive impact on the market on and around the planets, but do these facilities also need production facilities, for example, or is it connected in any way or is it just about sliders. So many questions and so few answers ;-)

AFAIK the quantity (stock&refill) are depending on SoL and Pop, the commodities shuffle IDK.
With my Scientific Outpost I had a Market with 30 commodities from the start - I think 30 commodities is the cap? ... only specific goods can change

Cool discussion about economy influence but the point is, the Outpost came to life immediately.

I dropped off the last 48t of Titanium, I got the Brewer-branded congrats screen, I jumped out to go pick up my Cobra. When I came back 10-15 minutes I found everything you'd expect from a Scientific Outpost was working, except for missions. Didn't have to wait for any ticks of anything. That seemed odd given all the posts about "how do I get this stuff to DO something."

I expected it to be High Tech and it was.

yep, you are right, that seems to be with the Outposts and its pre-defined primary economy.
but his question was how to influence the market such way that you get specific goods?

This is a thread about whether or not people remain as Architect, when stations come to life, whether "just wait" usually fixes it, etc, because that is the area of the game Paul was making an announcement about in the first post.

I know we like a good rabbit-hole on this forum but that's the first time someone's questioned a post because it's ON topic... :)

maybe I do not understand his question correctly (no native speaker), but his question is NOT if the structures build on a planet do influence the market of the station, but which installations to use where and in what quantity to get the effect desired?

@vuteq btw - Hospitals and other GLOBAL/Systemwide influencing structures you can build anywhere, doesn´t need to be at/orbit of the planet you want influence. I usually use that "superfluous" orbits/Icemoons

Yes thats the question that in my mind.
Thank you for second part, that i know but i think it is quite good location for hospital and in that case it should also influace local market as hydroponic farms + coriolis as i read somewhere u will get that agri economy on coriolis. As so far i understand economy is based per body for stations and system economy is idk but logical would be most economy bodys in system so u have hi-tec body market + one military u get hi-tec/mil system wide galactic map marker but u could have smaller agri markets in system for example.

According to a recent official announcement, "The current process for growing the market in a Starport is to build up facilities on or around the planetary body that it is orbiting." So yes, if you build a Coriolis in orbit of a planet, and you build Agricultural-relevant items on the planet, the Coriolis should pick up an element of an Agricultural market economy. Depending what else is in the system you might still pick up a second economy and get something like Agriculture / Refinery.

Note: If you build things on a moon of that planet, we don't think it would affect the Coriolis above the planet. This is silly. The FDev announcement kind of hints they might fix that.

This only applies to the starport class of stations (Ocellus and Coriolis) - not Outposts.

We more or less know population affects production rates and suspect Wealth and Development are factors.

You will get good answers to your more complicated questions if you post them in the threads where the forum is trying to figure this out - for example the thread linked below - would you mind reposting them there?

EDIT: And here is the forum thread for the announcement about Starport markets:

Oops yes. The Industrial, Military and Scientific outposts have fixed starting economies, the Commercial, Civialian and Crimial outposts have Colony economies which are influenced by other facilities. Not sure if the first three can have additional economy types.

Criminal has a starting economy. It is affected by it's own contraband economy influence. Then like all outposts you need to complete some random arcane ritual for anything further to happen.

I built a criminal outpost as my primary station in one system and plopped two extraction settlements on the planet underneath, now it sells drugs and rocks.

Google translate

Maybe you know how and in what order to install an outpost (which one), planetary objects (which ones) and a large spaceport (orbital Coriolis or planetary port) in orbit or on the surface of the same planet in order to get aluminum, steel and titanium from the spaceport market?
