Elite Dangerous | Type-8 and new pre-built ships

I found the T8 to feel remarkably smooth flying, actually. No shake at all under most circumstances. I suspect you encountered a bug or a settings issue. Or accidentally toggled off Flight Assist...
How can one ship have bugs but not others (same type, same code).
FA has nothing to do with it.
The moment it moves faster than 100 (maybe 120), it's starts to shake. It's ridiculous. I had the thrusters engineered but nothing changed.
This is so bad, it will give you a virtual HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome). ;)

Hmm... if it really was that bad for everyone, I think we'd have read more about that phenomenon, no ?

Personally I can't say that I recognized any unusual movement or wobbling of my screen when flying a Type-8... 🤷‍♂️

Did you check all possible relevant settings and drivers, cleared your GPU caches, verified the files, etc. ? If so, I'd suggest opening a file with support and/or the issue tracker. Maybe in connection with a video of said behaviour ? 🤷‍♂️

I moved to a new PC, different CPU and GPU but it's the same. Makes absolutely no sense. :)
"cleared your GPU caches" - interesting. I have to check that out.

My T8 shakes during acceleration or braking. And I think it's a feature.
The srv seems to have this feature, and I believe it can be unchecked in the options.

I see it now. I had to compare it side by side with a Challenger to see it because all Lakon ships sake, but I do see what you mean.

Oh my god.

Note to self, do not buy a T8.

So very very glad I didn't spend ARX on it like I thought of doing, I'd have had to go for a refund immediately.
That is absolutely horrid even watching it on my monitor, I don't even want to think about what that jittering would feel like in VR.

It seems that all my bug reports end with "The issue could not be loaded."
That probably means that some arcane ritual in browser selection has failed and so you were unable to complete a compulsory field that didn't display when you tried to create and file the report.

I like the T8, and I still consider the shake a feature of this ship and would hate to lose THIS.
I love the ship. Compared to the scruffy interior of the python/pmk ii, which I find horribly distracting, the shake doesn't bother me, and I was quick to swap out all my pythons for Type 8s. It might be nice if camera shake had a slider as it does in many games, however, so that those who are bothered by it can tone the feature down globally. It has never bothered me, so I never thought about it.

Boggles my mind how you can like that to the point you'd hate to lose it... it would me a headache in minutes; but hey to each their own, and it's great it has it's fans I guess. :)
I'm barely willing to call that a shake anymore, more of a vibration.
I just wish the ship was a lot worse so I wasn't interested in it for it's other features. 🤪
Sadly the vibration is a deal breaker for me... and I don't generally mind the shake in other ships, though tend to be less of a 'sitting in a paintmixer' type. 🤷‍♂️
I might need to look at options if I can disable it, though it'll be tedious to turn settings on and off when swapping ships. 🤔

Once again, vibration is pretty rare there. I have it exactly when accelerating (increasing traction) and braking and at that moment I can hear the engine sounding strange with some interruptions.

That makes sense in a freighter ship that size. If it was a luxury passenger ship it definitely would be a problem but that's the last thing a T8 is.

Yes, there is a video of the behavior linked here. Once again, I don't think I could tolerate that for long and I am shocked you can, let alone that you'd hate for it to be toned down, but good for you that you can and that you like it. (y)

I can't consider accelerating and decelerating to be 'pretty rare' in Elite though. Especially with some of the activities I would have liked the T8 for. Bit of a bummer, but think I'll manage... I'll just have to make do with other ships that aren't designed as much for the enjoyment of the lady pilots. ;)

Yet it's seemingly not something other ships of it's size do to that extreme level. 🤷‍♂️

And to me it doesn't make sense for a medium sized freighter.. A tiny fighter with oversized engines perhaps, with less mass rapid vibrations make more sense. Unless the T8 is built very much on a budget on a monday and it's trying to shake itself apart. I'll go with that as a "lore" explanation for myself I guess, manufacturer cut costs and forgot to tighten all the bolts, but is still trying to charge me 38mil for it. :p

Only ship that shakes (image on the screen) constantly until it gives a headache. I paid ARX for this.
I have finally remembered to get into my T8 to see why I hadn’t noticed the behaviour when I flew around all sorts of rares locations a couple of weeks before PP2 launched, perhaps it was introduced then.

I flew in cruise, SCO and normal space at all sorts of speeds.

The nearest thing to shake I saw was the gentle wobble in SCO.

Settings essentially Ultra on a 144fps 4K 17” screen laptop, the lowest fps seen was about 110 low over a planet’s surface no VR.

So sorry to say but it isn’t a universal issue.

I'd not experienced this issue but had Options > Graphics > Reduce Camera Shake enabled since forever. Type 8 was fine

I tried disabling the reduction, and immediately got similar results to mentioned here (plus the start of a headache after only 30 seconds). Glad I preferred that option off anyway

Do you have reduce camera shake on or off? 🤔

Same question to SergMx actually.
