Elite Dangerous | Update 18.07 - 5th July 2024

Has anyone else run into the following issues with the new patch:
  • Frame rate issues around titans.
  • No payouts from either attacking the Titan's exposed thermal core, or doing nothing in the vicinity of the titan (the 14k)
I got a lot of no payout after the patch, the core just enters and the cycle does not pay or emit the blue shell field. like 40% of the times
 
Guardian Hulls Reinforcement Packages (HRP) were already protected from the guardian field (they had no integrity so no dmg taken), what does the RAM TAH protection adds now?

Guardian Module Reinforcements can be protected if you see it as worth it to take them (whereas previously Glaives could melt them and pose the risk of losing all your module protection, and... well... could just forget about taking them to a Titan outright). Personally, I'm not sure the relatively minor increase in durability is worth their power draw unless you can afford it without making compromises elsewhere.
 
very nice, now can you make it legal to recover your passengers after they get noodled from your hull, or at the very least allow me to pick up more refugees when i forgot to pay the stupid fines.
or let me pay the fines at the penal ship when i get blown up, damn

I went back in today since I was enjoying the Titan stuff as a new player yesterday. Took a while to get used to.

Since the update however, the number of npcs in solo and group around the titan has trippled. So this quote from the update is completely false. Did you misspell "doubled and trippled" rather than "reduce"?

At either case, its practically impossible to get close now, and if you get close you are gurantueed to die.

A comment from @jacklul mentioned a similar payout glitch. But that was yesterday, before the latest patch.

No bonds are earned again - the bug is back?
I went to get my 2M of contribution already done in case I don't make it tomorrow/weekend - after 1 hour the combat bonds stayed at the same number, relogged and it's still the same old value

FWIW, I just went in solo and did 2 runs, one for 6mil and the second for a miserable 1mil (messed up my targeting).

Yes all hell breaks lose when I approach the vents and start the bombing run, but I just ignored them, tanked the little damage and retreated to the asteroid belt for some superficial repairs. I am by no means an AX expert, and I suppose a new player with a lesser ship and lesser knowledge of the game might find it hard.
 
Yes, I agree. Not less goids, more goids now. But I am not having issues making attack runs, it is just a bit crazy. And still fun. And I can still find places in the roid field to let things calm down before I do it all again.

I am glad to see that this Titan won't disappear by Saturday am, at least it appears that way right now
 
Hey, well the open instances aren't empty, but they aren't up to the frame rate busting numbers of critters we had before, either.
 
"All Guardian modules", does that mean anti-Guardian protection can now be applied to interior modules such as the Guardian FSD Booster, not just weapons?
The answer to this is "Yes" :)

Hi @Paul_Crowther. Just so we are absolutely clear: does this apply to all Guardian modules including Pre-Engineered weapons, or only to standard off-the-shelf modules?

Definitely getting the second point. No payouts, no fighters from the Titan, no blue toroid. There were about 4 of us in the instance. The cycle for heat vents seemed twice as long as before. When the core popped up we took the health down and it retracted with no fighters spawning, no blue toroid, and no bond payout. Oh, and I couldn't damage a Titan gun turret at all. Since there was no fighter cover, the frame rate was fine.
 
titans again was broke... after re-instance, it's again have break after 3-5 times open "heart" with 2 groups (8 players) in private lobby.

I had a much delayed payout near the end of my ammunition reserves. In fact, the payout showed up on my way back out of the cloud when I was nearly out all together.
