Regarding your earlier question, getting SAPI 5 voices isn't the easiest, especially on Windows 10. Like Foxpur said, use Windows to install more english language packs (US and UK English). You could also buy the IVONA ones, which are awesome, but expensive. I will try to compile a list of freely available SAPI5 voices and how to install them in Windows 10. Give me a couple of days

The app uses a couple audio filters to warp the voices a bit so that they sound somewhat different, but unfortunately the variation is a bit limited at times.

I use IVONA Amy, but I have several added as well.

Yeh it's just with one male voice never the star port ctrl always a cmdr. It's quite amusing though almost like the cmdr is taking the pee out of spc. I'll get an audio but I'm thinking it happened when I tried to install a voice via the back door. I have followed the language packs (after Mr blah came about) but I have yet to hear any of them in space. I'm in the deep atm so it's not a prob but that's for you're help. I'll look into that 3rd party you were on about.

Hi I have installed minispeech and found I have inadvertently installed a sample TTS voice which just reads all TTS as Blah Blah. I have no idea how to remove this, I've checked the registry but cannot find any ref to this voice pack

Try looking in your registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\SPEECH\Voices\Tokens. There's probably a folder there for your Blah-blah voice. Make backups first of course
Oh, also check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Speech\Voices\Tokens as they are usually installed in both places.

Thanks I uninstalld the SDK SAPI5 server from Microsoft ank that sorted it, but looking at registry, some of the additional English speaking voices avaible under Language settings in windows install the reg values here,,,, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Speech_OneCore\Voices\Tokens I have yet to hear these guys in space so was wondering if anyone had managed to root them in the common reg.... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Speech\Voices\Tokens

Or alternatively add this location to the comp app as a source of voices?

Qustion; The APP runs fine in the window, but the G19 screen stays allways black (only shows me the Time/Date header).
Are i'm missing something?

Hi Alexan! Let me try to help. Checking the log file, I didn't immediately see what might cause your issue. Would you mind emailing me your netlog file of today, 18.30? You will probably find it in your Elite installation folder under the Logs folder. It's probably named something like netLog.161002183000.01.log. You can email it to me at magicmau [at] gmail [dot] com.

I think it might be due to a specific combination of data that is specific to the location you were in at the time. Your netlog file would really help me out.

I am not sure how many are actively monitoring this thread - but I have a question for you. With the upcoming 2.2 update Elite generates a very nice journal file that can easily be read by 3rd party apps such as the EliteG19s app. I am already working on making sure the app supports this when 2.2 goes live.

One thing I want to do is automatically enable uploading discovery info to EDDB. As you don't need to supply any passwords for this, the impact for you would be minor, other than sending a bit of data to the EDDB server about the star or planet you've just discovered.

So, if you feel strongly about this (for or against), please let me know!

i'm using the Logitech G510.

There are 4 Buttons under the display... they have all functions but you have to find out yourself
which button is for what.

Maybe you can add little simple buttons?
In order from left to right: arrow down, arrow up, ok, QuickInfo.

I think the idea of adding text right above the buttons is really cool. However, right now there already is not that much room for all the other content and I am worried that adding the labels would limit that even more.

thanks for your reply. You are using the bottom row even now, maybe only change the position a little bit.
Then only tiny symbols to show how it works.

I have a photo how it looks like after starting the app on my G15.

Did you know the Logitech SDK for LCD? There is a document witch contains all keyboards and even the G13 as photo,
so maybe you can there see where the bottons are?!

Because of the little space on the display, it works and thats really great, not much games support the display at all.
I advice also that everybody should using his Smartphone or tablet as addional device.

VR Users Note:

Some of us like to pop back to the desktop to make edits, or read something, to want to use a 3rd parts support app like this one that likely has a component that you want to get to but can't when in VR mode.
(G19app then can use F8/F9 to get the desktop up and then back to ED)
We have a work-around now that uses a Virtual Desktop or Big Screen (free) with ED:

Oh, I just noticed there are different solutions for Rift and Vive users. I own neither, so I'm afraid I can't really help there. If there are ways to help this app integrate into those solutions better, feel free to let me know. If it's something I can add without too much difficulty, I'll gladly do it.
