Note: different service stations have (very) different prices. I landed in one were they requested 37K for repairing my ship (!)

I try another and it was only 9K. So try various stations before you pay.

Also, the jumping gates are perfect to make dirty money, quick. Just find two stars that are close enough, level 8 or higher, one agricultural and the other industrial. It takes a couple of minutes to make a round trip and buy and sell furs and machinery (or narcotics and firearms if you don't mind your legal status).

PS: How do I use the fuel injectors? did you try to capture another ship with the capture system?

The jump gates cost something like 250 credits per use and I’m too much of a skinflint to pay those sort of prices 😅 (I’m playing purely with a Cobra Mk3 so I like to maximise my profits, plus I like a bit of combat along the way)

I’ve not seen those price differences, I’m guessing it’s linked to the system type or tech level. Nice find!

Fuel injectors are a turbo boost system - if you’ve got fuel in your tank then press + hold “J” to gain a small speed boost (you’ll see two go-faster arrows in the lower left of the HUD). It’s not a massive speed difference but it can help you catch faster ships or get out of mass-lock a little bit quicker.

I’ve never got the ship capture system; the highest tech level systems never have it in stock and I’ve never had a mission with it as a reward, so either I missed or didn’t trigger the prerequisites to get access to the equipment, or my game is bugged somehow (…or I might just be an idiot - I haven’t been checking Military stations. Edit: checked a Military station in a level 15 system, no joy).

I wish I still had my toast-rack 128k Speccy but it died a death 26 years ago. I look at your post with envious eyes! 😁

Edit: what’s the attachment you’ve got there? It looks like a memory card reader but I cannot make out the text beneath the LEDs. Is there any form of acceleration in the Speccy? The emulator I’m using simulates the addon that doubles the Spectrum clock speed.

It is a DivMMC Enjoy! to load the tap file from the SD. I also set 7mhz in my spectaculator (and also in the FPGA) but with real HW I do not know of any accelerator.

Anyway it works great at 3.5mhz.

I m new here tho.
I saw some gameplay of this masterpiece and I got to say that this game is straight up ED scaled down on Zx Spectrum very well :D
One thing tho.... I wish this game could have a fully playable android version :^
Also does the dev of this masterpiece have discord or any contact info ?
I wanna talk to him and tell him about new things to implement in the game too :))

The forum thread is linked in the first post, though you’ll need a translator unless you can read Russian. The creator of the modded game is “LW” and it looks like they consider their work complete as of about 2 years ago.

I’m currently playing on Android via the app “Speccy+” and a Bluetooth controller (I’m not a fan of touch-screen joypads!).

Wait, can Elite Legend be accessed as open source file so that others can continue developing it ?
