Octavia got blown into itty bitty pices in Reclaimation, as I recall.
I just finished the audio book version of “Reclamation.” It helped get me through two long flights. I’ve been playing Elite Dangerous (ED) for around year. After listening to “Reclamation,” the game feels more alive. For example, I found a combat zone with two capital ships and remembered the explanation why the Imperials required a rotating section for artificial gravity for their capital ship and why the Feds did not. Little details like this also make the story accessible to non-ED players.
I wish I read the book before the Salomé event. Now I understand why people had an emotional reaction to her death.

As some of you will know I wrote some lore articles for ED as part of my process for generating Reclamation and Premonition. With my focus on my books now I don't have time to maintain this anymore and their purpose has been overtaken by youtube, twitch and wikis.

I'm now leaving the future commentary on the lore to Obsidian Ant, DJ TruthSayer, Dave Hughes and the Wiki. I think it's in safe hands!

Recommended reading order is Status Quo > Mutabilis > Incursio > Finis > Reclamation > Altera > Premonition - though obviously only Reclamation and Premonition are truly canon.
