Liqua and Selezen, who's FD? I'm such a bloody noob. :-/

There are a few forums inside the writers' one. Does anyone know which is the best place to post the demo and talk about audio books?

Thanks a mill,
Paul

Ahh... thank you, psykokow. I thought Lave Radio was the umbrella term for the dramas it 'broadcasts'. So there are different dramas aired on that platform so to speak?

OK, thanks for this, it's becoming a little clearer now.

yeah you got the main show 'Lave Radio'
then the audio drama 'Escape Velocity'
then the new bit 'The Conclave'

and the nice thing is they will likely have more and more as the months go on..

Actually quite a few of the authors have Audio versions attached to their projects. These are permitted as they are part of the same fiction piece. I am doing an Audio version, as are others.

Like I said, I think you should chat to Holdmykidney who produces EV. He has some plans to expand his work in the next few months and I think you two would have a lot to chat about in terms of production methods, quality, all sorts really.

I'm always keen to chat to anybody with a passion for audio drama! :D

You could, pop along to LAVECON and spend a few hours over a pint chatting it through. :D

That sounds like me: a few hours over a pint, chatting... I'm dreadful for nursing drinks and talking instead of drinking, lol

Master Jarvis, I'd be delighted to chat. In-person might be an issue as I'm in Dublin. However, I'd be up for a Skype chat if you're on it? Be interested to hear how you go about producing your most excellent dramas. My Skype name is simply 'bitsixteen'.

Cheers,
Paul

Heh, similar distance as Donegal yeah, but probably better weather.

What part of Dublin are you from, by the way? I grew up in Blanchardstown.

So that's in Donegal then? ;-p

Would love to, but not sure it'll be possible.

It's definitely possible. There's planes and things that let you get from Dublin to the mainland/UK. From there you can do other stuff like use wheeled transport.

Definitely possible. It's all about desire. Join us. There Will Be Elite.

[googley eyes]

Yeah, you can Ryanair to Birmingham and get a cheap train from there. Not that expensive a trip overall. The whole Lave Radio crew will be there along with a number of the writers and many fans.

@Darren I used to live in Blanchardstown (well, Clonee) and I worked in Damastown for 10 years. I'm from Artane, however, and now live in Clare Hall on the Malahide Road. What part of Blanch?

@Selezen, yes there is wheeled transport, etc., but I'm afraid I've got a Fugitive status. ;-) Actually, to be truthful, I don't like flying. Used to love it, though. :-/ Small world. No, really.

Boats? Ferry From Derry? ;)

Paragliding?

Zip line??

Cannon????

Psykokow could come and get you. He's picking up practically everyone else!

Stranraer and Derry would both be ridiculously out of the way from Dublin :p There are ferries to Holyhead though, and then a nice drive across Wales to Cheltenham. Google says it takes 6 hours.

@bitsixteen: I lived in Fortlawn. I hear it's all different these days - big shopping centre and stuff.
