To be fair, it was stated pretty quickly that the stats were not the intended ones and fixed the following day on PC and on console right after the weekend iirc.FDev has followed the Gaijin model with the engineered Gauss... Release it with a "bug" making it OP, get lots of people to spend their resources, then nerf the weapon into the ground. Bait and switch tactic that's illegal in many industries.
Really? Changing weapon specs after an error, illegal? Please give an example of such, that sounds quite interesting!Bait and switch tactic that's illegal in many industries.
That's more than double damage on anything above Cyclops compared to regular plasma chargers. The shot speed makes it significantly easier to aim and since it is fire on release and not a delay as for gauss cannons some may find it easier to use. I assume that the range values are left unchanged (1000/3000 m for falloff start and max range), which means quite some penalty for not keeping within 1000 m rather than the 1500 m of gauss. Also remains to be seen how they are for sniping hearts.
I agree with your assessment. I equipped 3 of them on my AX krait and after deploying a heatsink it took about 3 or 4 shots before the heat rose above 20%. I have to be somewhere in the next few minutes but later today I will take it into combat and see how it fares. That's more than double damage on anything above Cyclops compared to regular plasma chargers. You need to spend materials for every purchase.Hmm, interesting. Are these single material unlocks like the other Guardian bits, which appear for sale in outfitting (at approved places) or more like the pre-engineered human modules that require you to spend the bill of materials each and every time?
Oof. Looks like an evening at a Guardian site is in order…You need to spend materials for every purchase.
