Summary - Reminder - CGs are now only available in LIVE versions (Odyssey & 4.0), unfortunately not Legacy.
System: Ru Shil
Station: Bok Orbital (Orbis starport, large pads available, 13 Ls from main star, 125.39 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Earn rewards by delivering Advanced Catalysers, Copper, Gallium, Polymers and Synthetic Reagents to Bok Orbital in the Ru Shil system.
Time limit: 1st February 3309 @ 07:00 UTC

Description
Two leading engineers have revealed designs to improve the stock anti-xeno weaponry available to pilots.
Liz Ryder and Zacariah Nemo have provided module modifications for many years, specialising in explosive and kinetic weapons respectively. Over the past year they have collaborated privately on the AX weapon designs introduced by Aegis in 3303, seeking to improve the efficiency of delivering a compound, hazardous to Thargoid vessels, which tips AX ammunition.
Ryder explained to The Imperial Herald:
Zack and I share a passion for weapon upgrades, and have often used this project as a way to unwind after a long week’s work. But when the Taranis signal arrived and the Thargoid forces started taking control of systems, we knew we had to reveal the designs to the public. We’re going to need help from independent pilots to finish off the prototypes and get a manufacturing base set up.
This campaign is for a fixed-mount enhanced AX Multi-Cannon, to be made available in both Medium and Large sizes. Ru Shil Empire Party has agreed to process deliveries, with Liz Ryder vouching for the faction's commitment to the anti-xeno project despite concerns over their reputation.
The project will run for eight weeks. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately and the fixed-mount enhanced AX Multi-Cannon will be made available at all rescue megaships shortly afterwards.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Advanced Catalysers, Copper, Gallium, Polymers and Synthetic Reagents to Bok Orbital in the Ru Shil system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:

Hmm... I guess I'll switch to this CG as I'm more interested in MCs than in Rocket launchers and I already contributed some Cutter loads.
Maybe one or two more loads towards Awyra Flirble and then off to Bok Orbital

Will these new weapons be available to everyone when the CGs have finished, or to only those who take part in the CGs? I ask because I'm thousands of light years away at the moment and don't want to come back to the bubble for a while. Will I be able ti just buy them off the market at some point?

Hey folks. I am just getting back into ED after a break and I see the notice at the top saying "Reminder - CGs are now only available in LIVE versions (Odyssey & 4.0), unfortunately not Legacy". I'm a little confused as I am only running Horizons not Odyssey. Does that mean I can't contribute to the CG?

Which Horizons are you running?

Do you see the CG in the station menu - or the CG station marked on the GalMap? Do you see the thargoid infested systems and Maelstroms on the Galmap? If yes, then you're playing Live, if not, you're playing Legacy.

Unfortunately I am not able to play the game until tomorrow and so I can't check the map but I now understand the difference between Legacy and Live and I am playing Live. T
Thanks

I'm not 100% sure of this so take this with a grain of salt, but I THINK they're increasing specifically the AX component of the damage, in which case the actual damage increase is 10x stronger than it seems.

In this case, the C3 goes from doing about 4 AX damage per shot, to doing about AX 6 damage per shot.

Just for example, this means that using 4 of them against a basilisk will go from (regen adjusted) 10.9 DPS(taking 34.5 seconds to exert), up to (regen adjusted) 20 DPS (taking 18 seconds to exert).

Again, this is speculative, but it seems to corroborate with initial testing.

Okay, I just tested it. Sadly, looks like I was wrong.

One C3 Enhanced AXMC fixed did 9% hull damage to a cyclops in 86 shots(would have gone for 100 but it moved). That takes 14.6 seconds, in which time it regenerated 46.8 HP. 9% of 800 is 72 HP, so I did 72+47=119 damage. 119/86=1.38 damage per shot. That gets multiplied by 3(because C3 AXMCs have 33 AP and Cyclopses have a hardness of 100, so you do 33/100ths your full damage, or 1/3rd), meaning it does about 4.2 damage.

So the weapon has been improved from about 3.9 damage per shot, to about 4.2 damage per shot, or about a 8% increase in DPS.
