There are ~2 Million tonnes of Gallium sitting 27.3 ly away in Andere. Don't tell me your loaded cargo hauler can't jump that.
It just seems to me like this is more efficient, but to be honest it's been a while since I've thought about the math (SC/jump/dock timers etc.) so I may be wrong:

Neglecting the differences in SC times (could be better or worse with a carrier, depending on the relative positions in the gravity well), you're swapping out two carrier approach & dock for one hyperjump 🤷‍♂️

There's no long supercruise here, so direct hauling is twice as efficient as loading and unloading carriers. You only have to move every ton once instead of twice.

Imagine "Team A" with Cmdrs 1 and 2 doing only one short haul to FC in orbit in one system and "Team B" with Cmdrs 3 and 4 doing only one short haul from FC in orbit in CG system.
Bet we'd get things done faster than everybody doing complete, direct station-station 1-jump run.

No, I don't think so. Not if all those people hauled direct, touching every ton only once. The carriers would make it more efficient if the two systems were many jumps apart or if one end was a long SC from the star (and the carrier could get a good parking spot near the station). Not otherwise.

This was looked at a lot when FCs were new and...

Are AX Enhanced effective weapons against human ships? Running a Cutter with 2 - 3D Enhanced Missile Turrets and 2 - 2E Enhanced MC Turrets; also fitted 4A and 2 - 2A Efficient Beams (gimballed) wpns and 8A Low Emissions/Thermal Spread PP. Going to run cargo missions and wanted to have some defensive capacity.

I think you must have misunderstood. 9300t total would be ~13 deliveries á 720t which would put you into the top 10 %
Deliveries was the wrong word to use. It was units collected. I corrected the post. I'm currently at 20,876.

Regards

Yeah, it's one of the downsides of the whole Thargoid/AX thing. You need specialized ships for AX, but that makes them useless against human NPCs (and players, too -- the gankers love this).
For the CG runs I have human weapons and lots of shielding on my Cutter. Then I added a shutdown field neutralizer just in case I bump into the Thargoids in my journeys. It's for getting away.

APALA - Wilson City in Open mode was 'bombed' with about 60 escape pods inside the station. How that happened per a 14.01 update glitch or a griefer who knows. They float around sometimes blocking the mail slot causing NPC ships to stop entering and exiting. Then live players have to 'nudge' the NPC ships through the mail slot to clear the traffic. Solo mode resolves it but I was stubborn staying in Open mode. They are still there after several hours maybe even more but I'll push a ship out of the way for anyone.

Delivering commodities for the CG? Use EDDB for the return trip loading cargo and make some commodity profits versus 'Deadhead' any trucker knows. My system loves explosives for another 300k in credits. I don't ask why they want them...

Hear you on System chat...

I saw half a dozen or so greyed out in my Contacts tab 30 minutes or so ago, that was in Mobius.

I would consider this but the distance to the source station I am using means not deadheading would add another jump to the trip and I am not interested enough in credits to be bothered with that.

I had the same at Schirra dock a couple of days ago, just enough room to squeeze my cutter past a couple of times, I then shut down and re-started in open and the problem cleared for me.

...
I've also seen the escape pods in the station in Mobius.

It seems strange to me. Maybe griefers could have infiltrated Mobius to do this, but I don't see what they gain and surely they would have used something which needed less time to collect, like biowaste canisters or whatever else is the cheapest commodity in the station. I'm wondering if there's a new bug, spawning the pods which should be in an attacked station at other stations too.

<Edit> I saw them last night and they're still there today. Surely there must have been a moment when Mobius was empty, so they must be generated with the instance.
