Station is not in the correct state to generate High mining prices on these so only gets a default CG price bump...
Investment sucks for cheap mining items needs boom... investment has lowered the price...
well, compared what you can get for osmium and samarium today, Awyra firble offers <20% of todays osmiums maximum price, <50% of todays samariums maximum price, <66% of todays maximum brommelite price, but 100% of todays maximum Lithium Hydroxide price.

so, if you want to minimize your perceived loss on zero-purchased commodities while taking part at the CG, just deliver lithium hydroxide!

To be fair chaps, I'm just trying to mess around with my dear friend Mr Kietrax! He will no doubt get his own back, of that I am sure!

hmm...will the item be unlockable at the Tech Broker for everyone (e.g. even those who cannot participate in the CG) or will the rack only become unlockable for those who participate in the CG? The wording sounds like it's going to be a general unlock for everyone (like Guardian Tech or Corrosive Resistant Cargo Racks etc)

So far, these CGs always have resulted in an unlock for everyone, no matter whether they participated in the CG or - for whatever reasons - not.
According to Paul's latest clarifications, you'll still need to pay for each rack with a bunch of mined materials.

This feels wrong after so long of avoiding Ice rings,, Shudder... at least it's not snowing...

From the initial description of the goal - it looks like the double engineered module will be purchasable from tech brokers for the list of resources, the incentive to reach higher tiers will be to make the cost of each engineered module cheaper. So you'll need to pay each time for each module, which is the same as having to 'spend' resources to engineer purchased modules...
That is not how tech broker unlocks work, and I have little reason to believe that will now suddenly change.

Apart from this...
Tech Broker reward
The reward for this week's goal works differently to how you may expect. Rather than unlocking the item in outfitting, you directly purchase the module with the mined resources. You can get two by obtaining double the resources.

I'm not sure how I feel about this change - my immediate gut reaction is that I'm against it, but it would still be faster than buying a stock module and engineering it upto G5 level, so perhaps it's an improvement? And at least you could get it from any human tech broker rather than only specific engineers...

Have to see how it plays out in game, I suppose.

While I am still skeptical of the whole double engineering power creep, this is a step in the right direction. If FD do this for all the previous modules as well and then, going forward, all new double-engineered modules are introduced in this manner right away as permanent additions for everyone (top 75% get it for free, the rest have to unlock it from a tech broker), I'd say that is a fair solution.

First proper mining run no nodding of fully, so about ~300tons per hour solo...

still better to carry to many limpets in to ring and to eject than have to burn through mats making them...
