Hi guys sorry to be a pain but I have very limited time and want to contribute as much as I can ..... Are there any osmium or samarium hotspots within 100 LYnof the CG. I have found platinum and pinite which are usually just what I want but not today.

Thanks

No, The only one of the four commodities that has hotspots is bromellite, the two you mention can be best found in any hotspot in a Pristine Metallic Ring.

I've decided I may as well be in a Painite hotspot to get that stuff as a side benefit.

The reply from Elite Dangerous on Twitter states you can buy them too

Only 50 t will count for CG. You can check in Inara - Your CMDR name > Fleet and Modules > Fleet Carrier name > Cargo. If Value is not 0, it will not count for CG.
If Inara can recognize this, obviously it's in the game as condition for CG.
Thanks, I didn't know Inara could see that level of detail. It will make the research easier.

<Edit> I've got that page, but I can't see a breakdown of what cargo the carrier has, only the total number of tons.

Got the big MINE icon not Trade icon on it... so yep mined only does not matter when...
Dont use the market on FC to transfer to ship it may be quicker but that can count as trading..
Some thickness here. I can't see that MINE icon. Where and what colour is it? :)

Hey Brrokk, from Your CMDR name, don't go Cargo and Crafting - instead go Fleet and Modules > click Fleet Carrier name > down the page you have Finances, Cargo etc.
There you can see - bought commodities have value different than 0, mined goods have value 0.

On the transaction tab, left ship panel, after you sign up for the CG. It's white on grey.

Buying minerals rather than mining them has always worked for missions and stuff before - presumably it still will - but FDev have obviously found a way to check whether you mined an item or not, so perhaps they'll implement similar rules for future events and even missions? Who knows?

CG have allways had that function... Mining and trade Items on mining CGs have been blocked from trade purchases,.,
With FC that system was just meant to be expanded from station trade items to FC trade items...

I shall be later today arriving in the close vicinity and giving this a partial test, I have on my carrier a quantity of personally mined material that has only been transferred from mining ship to carrier via the transfer button, all of this material was mined over the last month.
Have now arrived, signed up and delivered 288t of Lithium Hydroxide, some of which must have been mined prior to the CG starting, checked via the message board and all has been listed as delivered to the CG.

I shall monitor the board while delivering.

Looks as if I have a lot of work unloading my carrier.

"relog on a small surface planetary extraction settlement, with those shootable drillers dropping osmium" 🤔

Not seen those - where are they, and would it work?

Probably still be faster than mining properly - it goes so slowly for me. I spent hours in Colonia trying to mine Tritium for my carrier, I think I produced 129T in about 3 hours, might have been more. Gave up and just bought it, I've got the credits and it was worth it to save the time, even at rip-off prices over 3 times the galactic average out there...

Those tiny planetary extraction settlements with low security. Drillers called "Automated Mining Extractors".

Usually they are dropping minerals, but CG ones are not confirmed yet.

2 cutter loads (728t) plus my original load of 288t and all have been logged as delivered too the CG, 1744t so far.

Pity about the prices, but I can afford that, Don't know what I am going to do with the missile rack, if I bother to collect it:)
