Essential aviary animals

Hey everybody. I’d like to start a list similar to random goat and darthquell. This time I’d like to open it to aviary animals. Birds and bats that would need to be contained in an aviary.

While we still are uncertain if frontier will start to include more animals per dlc, I will suggest we do 5-30. I believe a lot of us will suggest the same animals, I’d like to see what else people want. Also I doubt we will ever get 30 considering how many animals we get per dlc and would get in a true expansion pack.

While birds such as cranes and storks have been requested, I think they will be fine without being contained in an aviary.
Also flightless birds will not been counted.
First I’ll start with my top 30 in order.

  1. Bald eagle
  2. California condor
  3. Snowy owl
  4. Caracara
  5. Flying fox
  6. Blue macaw

Picked a few species from a bird park, close to my home.
Didn't add storks/pelicans and also ground birds because they could also work as habitat animals. (could've made a mistake with a few, not sure)
Didn't pick any bats because in a lot of zoos i've visited, they are more ceiling decoration of the tropical house/dome.

Those 2 birds are cool!.
Great suggestions everyone, I have been tallying requests on the top 15. Eventually I will align all the birds into a proper 100 list. Remember Im not counting birds that cant fly, birds that would do fine without an aviary I will include but maybe separately.
I got another thought, for the birds that are smaller, maybe frontier will do a small aviary that functions similar to an exhibit. I have another post hoping to talk about what the aviaries could look like.

Birds

I have tried to select a broad cross-section avoiding anything too small and anything which could be housed outside of aviaries so no ratites, bustards, secretary bird, cranes, storks, pelicans, ducks, geese, swans etc. I have included some pheasants and peafowl which in my experience are always housed in aviaries.
