Yup, the CG marker is there now after relogging.Have you tried relogging? I couldn't see any at first but completely closing and re-opening the game showed the markers in place.
I was using a standard mining Pulse Wave Analyser to light up Caustic Generator locations when farming them so I wonder what a Pulse Wave / Xeno Scanner combo will do.
Of course if overpowered Gliaves keep killing me just trying to get to a Malestrum I may not find out for awhile.

Just now I visited Maelstrom Taranis, PWXS shows Tissue Limpet Points and you can get Titan Tissue Samples and Titan Maw TS using Research limpets. It also shows surface points to extract materials by shooting, I used Abrasion blaster. I haven't seen any data points so far, but it's too early to say. You must be close enough to Titan, 'cause range of PWXS is 1 km.

Greetings Commanders, We were made aware yesterday evening of early acquisition of the 'Pulse Wave Xeno Scanner' by a number of Commanders, following an unfortunate early release of the module. The module has since been removed from the markets at which it was found and it has been decided...
well they did say they hid stuff for update 15, thought they just hid it at a military hub.
Well, Pulse Wave Analyzer is broke since U12 (and it should be properly renamed as in Pulse Wave Scammer - since more often than not will light up fake core asteroids)
But who knows, maybe this one will work better than the mining tool since Thargoids are the new Meta while mining fell out of favor in the summer of 2020.
Soon they will need to release an experimental module to increase the number of utility slots on our ship...

I don't understand why they immediately removed PWXS from the markets, and why CM Sally wrote "unfortunate early release". For whom it is unfortunate? For players? I don't think so. How many times CG rewards have been delayed? Many times. Sometimes we waited a day, two, or more. So, it would be fair, at least once, to give it earlier. It's not the end of the Universe. To make players happy, only a little bit - is it really "unfortunate"?
presumably because the PWXS is the reward for Tier1 of the current CG - as in: we have to work for it
who got compensated for all the damage their little scouts of doom did?
it only says help mass produce... usually have some production runs before mass produce...
At least put some effort in. Say they were stolen prototypes, mark all the ones bought by cmdrs as stolen/hot modules.
My thought exactly. I heard about this earlier, could have logged in and quickly grabbed it, but thought "nah, it's an obvious mistake and they'll take those back those as soon as they find out". Lesson learned ... next time there's something like this I'll be grabbing it FAST!
Call me a spoilsport, but I think they should have removed them from the CMDRs' inventory. Obvious exploit and all that. As an example, I just read how they announced it in the AXI discord so tongue in cheek that you have to be very dense to "not know it was not supposed to be released". But gamers be gamers, I guess.
