Any recommendations for a cheap steering wheel for ETS and ATS? Budget of around £60. Struggling with Xbox/PS3 controller so looking for options. Cheers :)
Bagged a second hand Logitech g27 for less than that. Works great.

Managed to get a Driving force GT for £35. Couldn't find a g27 for under £100. One of the few ones I found on ebay blew though my max bid in seconds without even beating the reserve. Just waiting for it to arrive now :)

I went back to EU Truck yesterday for a pretty long session - I must say, most of the fun for me is recognizing places in game. I traveled Europe and Scandinavia many times via car and the devs captured key locations pretty well. Cant get in to American one as much for this reason because sadly I never been in USA.

Hah, this is why I prefer ATS to ETS2, because I recognize places I've been out west of the USA!

I was playing USA Truck sim today and stumble upon Nike Missile Rest Stop in New Mexico:

random location I`m familiar with because few days ago I was looking for pics for Herules Sam missiles.

Do you all know they're planning to update Germany (to start, hopefully other countries next) to the higher standards of the recent DLCs!!

I wish they wouldn't bother and just leave it in the hands of ProMods which has been amazing at not only adding so much to ETS2, but revamping and making everything more like it is in the real world with a lot more realism...

Been a big fan of ProMods since I started ETS2 but having started running more WoTs jobs instead, the amount of desyncing going on has meant I've had to remove them. For now at least.

I haven't really even looked at the WoT jobs really, other than a few glances here and there. Good to know it doesn't synch with ProMods. For me though I have ProMods, Project Balkans, RusMaps and Southern Region. So it really wouldn't work with all those mapping groups that tie in with ProMods at all. I just love the variation of having all of Europe (minus the southern Balkans) at my expense as I like the Geography aspect over the cash aspect of jobs I guess...

Slight problem on a special transport job from Köln to Amsterdam. The load was 6m wide. So, apparently, was the gap. :S

Unstuck, and job done.

Fortunately I'd slowed right down as I'd realised it was going to be tight. Still hit the pillar hard enough to turn the trailer slightly sideways. Which meant that the load was sideways too, so I couldn't go forward without hitting the pillar. And going backwards didn't initially seem to be an option either, as the back of the box was against the rail on the other side. Fortunately I managed to push it back enough to straighten out, by detaching from the trailer and reattaching at a better angle, and then raising the midlift to give myself a bit more traction. Only 1% damage done, so I wasn't too bothered in the end.

Haha, nice job on that bridge. Gotta love those special and heavy loads jobs with escort convoy. Here's one of mine:

Never finished that one, as I quickly found out that my old engine wasn't cut out for it... Didn't have the horsepower to climb the ramp onto the motorway... [noob]

LOL! With the final "Unstuck" image, I was expecting to see a collapsed bridge in the background :)

Brilliant.

I've never play any ETS games so I didn't know there was this kind of cargo in the game. Most videos and screenshots don't show cargo that sticks out of the trailers.
This has definately increased my interest in the game. [up]

It's pretty cool. It's a special convoy too, so you've got the escort cars front and back, signaling the turns and everything. There's a twist though... These are some of the small DLCs they added later, they're sadly not part of the base game. See these:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/558245/Euro_Truck_Simulator_2__Special_Transport/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/531131/Euro_Truck_Simulator_2__Heavy_Cargo_Pack/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/304214/Euro_Truck_Simulator_2__High_Power_Cargo_Pack/

So wait for a sale to pick these up, they're old now, so they drop massively during sales. The game has creeped up with DLCs to the point where it may look daunting for a newcomer, but the only gameplay ones are the extra maps and these additional cargo options.
