Yes but again, this 'passion' and 'potential' is not something new.
It's the same story we have been hearing for 3 years now and I assume will continue to hear as the game is developed.
To recap, it's not the content, it's the lazy journalism I take issue with here.
It shows how bad Frontier is at managing their community, and the lack of professionalism Brett C has. FD has been lucky not to have this kind of articles against them. And that joke was incredibly dumb for that. Also, to dismiss the article as a 'bunch of moaners' is delusional. Many of you have been dismissing criticism with responses like that for ages, but how long can you keep doing that? The criticism finally reached the gaming media, as it was bound to happen. It is not just a 'bunch of moaners', public opinion has consequences, and this is one of the first ones. This is a serious problem, and is finally showing how real it is. I wonder if FD will finally react.
At some point someone is going to make an extensive video documenting all the flops FD have made (if it is not the case someone is preparing something like that right now). If something like that gets some momentum, I guess that is when the is going to hit the fan.
I guess some of the people dealing with PR and CM dont realize that people working for this pages might as well be players of the game. The stupidity of such joke blew my mind. I found it funny, but the irresponsibility of it was beyond me. And worst of all, Brett C insisted in being sarcastic. Dude, you made a huge mistake.
Someone posts a link to a major games media outlet publishing an article highlighting the unhappiness in the ED community, and the majority of replies are a bunch of dismissive snark.
Can you see my surprised face?
I'll bite.
They also never blamed TJ. That's a red flag right thereWell, I'm disappointed in the article. They never contacted me for my views!
"Am I not a prominent player" ?

Elite Dangerous is vast, but it is for many sparse. Sure, you can do combat, explore, gather resources and trade, but you won't find much in the way of cutscenes or setpieces. It can feel, at times, like a grind. It can feel, at times, a bit boring.
I'm not disagreeing with you when you want to improve that, I'm just pointing out that the flight model being the core gameplay is not just some silly opinion - its is quite literally the core of the gameplay.*rubs his brow* I'm sorry if I sound harsh here but... I'll stick to discussing how we'd like exploration to be more than *jump honk jump* and I think I'll just drop out of this "no no FLYING is actually core game play, not exploring, combat and trading" right now.
It is, after all, a hardcore space simulation.
"The learning curve for this game is steeper than any game I've ever played," CMDR Nightshady says. "If you just put somebody in front of a computer and say, play this game, they probably wouldn't be able to get their ship out of a station. And if they did they'd probably do something wrong and get killed."
Are Eurogamer a big deal?
These are our moderators, with that level or reading comprehension. And constantly patronizing and ridiculing criticism. This is the people FD is trusting their community to.Nah, being interviewed by Eurogamer and making sure you state how much you genuinely love the game whilst laying out your criticisms and thoughts seems to be the absolute BEST way to be viewed as:
* "moaning" - BongoBaggins
* "There's a game.... that some people like..." - Jenner
* "people I wouldn't have a beer with" - h347h
or my personal favourite!
* "meh" - Tj
Way to engage your community guys, way to comment on an article written about the game, well done beers all round.
"There are good things and bad things according to 3 random players"Has anyone go a tl;dr version of the article?
