Hi Guys, quick question on exploration trip distance calculations: how do you count your total trip distance?
I have so far decided to write down system name either for a point of reference (when, for example, jumping from one nebula to another), or every 1000Ly if another point is further. Then, simply add distances.

But my question is - is there any tool that would do that for me when supplied with system names?
Just looking for something more comfortable than noting everything down...

Look at your Right hand UI, it should be in the first tab, and under statistics(scroll to the bottom)

I'm 18000+ly out and have decided to head back, having all this exploration data is making me nervous, I would be devastated if I did something stupid and lost it in a careless accident.

:)

Remember if there were any other tool, you either had to know what your mileage was before you left, or you still would have to put all the places you have been in to the tool.

Fortunately, I made a screenshot shortly before departure, so I know my exact mileage.
Thanks for the tip!

dognosh, is there any chance you can redirect the 65k club link to the V2 thread?

That list is being actively maintained in Akira's absence and posts to Akira's thread may well end up slipping through the cracks...
