Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Hi! I'm new here.
Some time ago, I had heard somewhere that datamining had found that the limit of space in the zoopedia was 200 species. I don't know if that's true, and it doesn't mean that the developers aren't going to extend the limit, but let's assume that it will stop at 200. That would mean that there would still be 34 places available, enough to make 4-5 additionnal packs plus one animal for the game's anniversary.
I think we've pretty much covered everything we could hope for in terms of decoration. So I'm assuming that most of the remaining packs will be animal packs and not decoration packs.
Based on that, I hope we'll have a mountain pack with the golden takin and the Pallas cat, which are my top picks. A coastal themed pack would also be nice. In particular, I'd like to have the walrus, which is number 1 on my whishlist. A forest pack with the Tasmanian devil and the wild boar. And finally, I'd really like a birds of the world pack, with at least ten species of bird.
Hello and welcome!
I'm pretty sure that the animal limit is gone with latest update

Im sure its known globally but i dont think its really celebrated in any meaningful amount outside of USA and canada
Im 26 and have yet to witness somebody ringing at my door and asking for candy nor have i seen someone decorate their frontyard with pumpkins and stuff
We kinda get into it in England. Maybe it's a regional thing but we see trick & treaters and most people put pumpkins out where I live. Nothing like the massive displays you get in the 'burbs in America but we're a tad more understated overall. Its origins are Celtic which is what OldCountry is getting at. The scary displays are meant to scare away the bad spirits for the new year, which was Nov 1st for the Celts in ancient times.

I'm not even trying to deny the fact. I said it was adopted by Americans where it evolved into what it is now. But in origin it's European and the entire building set is European. North America is the only Continent besides Antarctica to not get a true Scenery set in the DLC cycle. Native American culture is something I'd argue we need in Planet Zoo.

look it up homie
I don't need to.

"Halloween originated in Europe as a folk holiday" is not the same as saying "Halloween isn't an American thing". It's entirely an American thing. The ridiculous lengths North America goes to with Halloween are not reflected anywhere else in the western world, really.

yea and I didn't deny that, you purposely left out the part where I said it's American adopted. Quote better next time please :)

That was an arbitrary limit that has (i think) now been increased (see: THIS THREAD) - @Leaf Productions might be able to confirm. The limit may suggest that, in initial development there was no plan to release enough DLC to fill the spots, but its not a hard cap that can't / hasn't been changed.

I think a nocturnal scenery pack that adds a nocturnal house, circadian rhythms, and nocturnal tours for visitors is the likeliest for Q3. It will be close to Halloween, so the theme fits and of course Tasmanian Devil will be the cover animal.

You know what I kind of figured out? They subside our expectations with certain titles for these packs this year like we thought the Tropical Pack would be the Rainforest Pack, and the Arid Animal Pack would be the Desert Animal Pack. Remember how they did it last year with the expectation twists? I think that's the theme of twisting the titles instead of the obvious. For example, if we're to get a mountain animal pack, it could be titled the Highlands Animal Pack. Also, I think the schedule for these pack are going to go like this; scenery, animal, animal, scenery pack.

I think either of those:

Islands Pack
  • Tasmanian Devil
  • Kiwi
  • Nene Goose
  • Raccoon Dog
  • Panther Chameleon

Woodlands:
  • Tasmanian Devil
  • SA coatimundi
  • Reeves's muntjac
  • Howler Monkey
  • Emerald Tree Boa

and for Winter animal highlands pack

Highlands pack is a good name, but there's always other possibilities via wordplay; like
Montane, Alpine, or reverse ball use of Mountain
