That make me think...

Now that the arid pack happened, and it is essentially a DLC dedicated to an specific region of the world once again, the chance for an India animal pack is still on the table :D

If only Frontier saw it that way.

In reality, a return to regions is definitely not off the table (literally nothing is, given we know literally nothing about the behind-the-scenes decision-making), but I hope nobody is taking the Arid Animal Pack to mean it's a certainty.

I fully agree, I see no point in having a coyote in Planet Zoo.
-we already have so many canines
-it's not exotic, rare, of conservation value
-we have the wolf and dingo, which already filled this niche

Since the arid pack skipped the bat-eared fox. I’d agree now. The raccoon dog and bush dogs are probably now the only two canids that should be added (I think they’re needed, but they’re the only two).

I’m gonna go for a Central Asia pack:

1. Nilgai
2. Lion-Tailed Macaque
3. Pallas’ Cat
4. Himalayan Monal
5. King Cobra

Other swap-ins could include the Blackbuck, Markhor, Sloth Bear and Takin.

Alpine or Children's Zoo are my top picks.

Alpine could fill in some of the "why didn't they pick that" choices from the arid pack like baboon and rock hyrax.

Children's Zoo could potentially bring us playgrounds/merry-go-rounds/more guest-animalm interactions and some very popular picks like the coati, squirrrel monkey, and waterfowl.

That said, I wouldn't be shocked if woodlands shows up very late in the game with NA blackbear, NA porcupine, tassie devil, wolverine and the long awaited horizontal log building kit.

Any of the alpine/highlands pack ideas are great, but expanding it to Temperate/Woodlands could also bring us the Tasmanian Devil. Now, I realize the TD is perfect for an islands headliner, but so is the Kiwi. If we get the Tasmanian Devil in Temperate themed pack, I would not discount the idea of Islands completely. Even if we got the Kiwi and TD in a woodlands pack, an islands pack is still possible, but I'd say much less likely. The next go to for Oceanian representation there is a Tree Kangaroo and that's still pretty popular. Plus, Islands around the world and not necessarily centered on Oceania could be a great pack - only if we get the TD and Kiwi first though.

Getting a wolverine and a Tasmanian devil in the same pack would be amazing, but I don't think it's likely at all since they are the two most wanted animals and each of them could be the leading animal of different packs: alpine/islands/woodlands.

The Wolverine/Tasmanian Devil could possibly be split up between two packs, there's certainly different themes to make that possible. But Frontier has delivered packs with the "at the time" top 2 on the meta list before. With the Africa pack and the Conservation pack. So I'd think it's not out of the question.

I don't think there's any pack that Twilight Pack complements before it. The only part it complements is via three NA animals and the Gothic building pieces are in its own league. Perhaps the TD is coming in fall with the possibility of a nocturnal animal pack?

For Winter I'm gonna be pretty certain of a mountains/highlands, tundra or boreal pack now that DLC trends are continuing in line with the season. However, knowing the next pack is a Scenery pack I feel like we're back to not having a single indication what it could be. Good options for me are:
  • Islands pack (Tasmanian devil, tree kangaroo, kiwi, __, __ (e) and Polynesian/Caribbean theme)
  • Reptile pack (sulcata tortoise, Nile crocodile, perentie?, softshell turtle?, ____ (e) and reptile house building set)
  • Nocturnal pack (Tasmanian devil, kiwi, __, __, ____ (e) and nocturnal house building set)
  • Mountains pack (takin, gelada, markhor, __, __ (e) and scenery from Nepal perhaps?)
  • Central American pack (tamandua, peccary, __, __, rhinoceros iguana (e), Caribbean theme?)

My own versio of this would be:

  • african pygmy goat (unfortunally we have to get a domestic in a pack like this, Alpaca is a good alternative)
  • any duck
  • golden lion tamarin, marmoset or squirrel monkey
  • patagonian Mara ( they are usually free roaming in bioparks and zoos here)
  • WE: BIRDS! parrots, budgies, lorikeets or macaws i think fit the best.

I think the same about the props and building style.
