Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Taking it with a grain of salt, but this would be huge news. Game changing? maybe to some, but it's a "gimmick" phrase more than anything to me. It won't be game changing, but it might just be game completing.

The word expansion sounds promising to me, and them saying "the first expansion" implies something different from the usual DLC, so its safe to assume this will differ in both price and amount of content. Which reads to me like it would come with something more complex as the WE, otherwise why would it be a expansion? And if thats the case and it really introduces a new aviary system, calling it gamechanging isnt overselling it imo

But yeah im trying to not hype myself up to much since there is still a really good chance this is troll/fake/whatever

I expected as much, 2 edits making the statement even more vague might hint at something big later on. Or frontier is trolling us , either way one very large grain of salt needed for this.

Best not to even think about it, to be honest. Until something official is announced, or at least something tangible is "leaked" (in a way that isn't completely unverifiable) maintaining the status quo is the smartest move.

Could be, but i think from a business standpoint it would make more sense for christmas

I would never assume most exciting thing for PZ this year will be waiting for billboards to show in Singapore.

Do note that this is a zoochat post by a rando from a bird park, not a Frontier announcement. He may not dofferentiate between "exapnsion", "dlc", "theme pack" and so on.

Sure, but it specificly said "the first expansion", not a expansion or another expansion.

I don't think we should get our hopes up about a potential Bird Expansion just yet, given that it hasn't been revealed by Frontier or the Bird Park itself in any kind of official report or announcement. This is almost certainly just a random person with zero credibility whatsoever trying to stir up conversation about the game for whatever reason. Similar situations have happened numerous times with games like Smash Bros. and Pokemon, for example.

Yeah, I think it's very likely. Of mammals, the top requested mammal per the Meta List is the Tasmanian Devil. That could fit in several different themes but would make the most sense to be in either a Temperate or Island pack. Either theme would have good choices for scenery. I can't believe that the Devil took the #1 spot a full year ago and we still don't have it, four packs later. Can't recall when the Capybara became the "it" animal to get in the game, but it certainly feels like the Devil's turn should come up very soon.

It doesn't hurt that the #2 most requested mammal, the Wolverine, could also be included in a temperate pack with just a little fudging. Taiga or Highlands makes more sense, but their range a little bit of temperate as well.

And just for my own wants, I'm 100% for a temperate pack since my 3rd most wanted mammal - Spectacled Bear- could also be included, with a bit of stretching like the Wolverine. I'm basically All temperate and New World Monkeys now, mammal wise.
