Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Im actually in the mood for something coldy so iwould enjoy something like a Taiga or Tundra Pack. Its been so long since we got a truly cold weather animal, last being the arctic fox if i remember correctly

Viking inspired scenery with some really themed stuff that can be broken down into general usefull pieces, like tropical and twilight.
Horizontal wood set, fish nets, kegs and crates, small boats
-Wolverine
-Musk ox
-Walrus
-Antartic penguin, snow or canadian goose
-Woodfrog or european adder (E)

Actually we already do have a viking themed building set from the Arctic pack. I know many people wouldn't think so but the Arctic wooden building set including all the interesting carved wooden features draws inspiration from viking age churches still found in Norway today.

Exactly what @NZFanatic said. It makes absolutely no sense that a person would announce such thing on ZooChat, there would be several NDA's that would prevent people from posting such things anywhere.

We've been here before guys, like two years ago there was a person claiming that they knew that Frontier was working on a bird DLC because they were working with specific zoos and all of it wasn't true either. Don't fall for it again.

Anyone who believes this is setting themselves up for disappointment. If you fall for this, it's on you. 😅

That post is definitely fake news. But I don’t think Frontier would go out if their way to troll a niche forum of a niche community even if it relates to their products.

Just a further point: the account name of the original post on zoochat about the birds shares a name with a junior member of staff at Bird Paradise...

And we fell for it because that guy was smart enough to talk about a collaboration with an UK based zoo, if I remember correctly.
Collaboration usually includes a lot of communication. There are so much more chances to collaborate with zoos nearby. Even germanys bird zoo would be a better idea than Singapore.
And the game is so old and visibly understaffed now, so even if people want to keep dwelling in the idea of a true bird DLC... The Devs would watch YT videos to make those birds and not collabortae with a zoo 15 flight hours away. Like, what do people think, that they send their staff there for vacation and tell them: "do some research as well in the mean time?"
And even when the collaboration is purely through online communication.... for what? How? It doesn't NEED a huge bird section to include birds into the game, this "leak" is the most ridicolous one we ever had...

Technically it would be the first "game expansion" as opposed to DLCs, someone not so familiar with the game would use that term.

Plus as others have pointed out, this real person/or troller actually used a real life employee name from Bird Paradise.

I'm 50/50 split on this. It makes sense to do something big for birds. Some have pointed out that Frontier is struggling to churn out DLCs and making a lot of clone animals. But that MIGHT be due to work on this "first ever game expansion", a proper expansion pack.

I think the post deletion doesn't say much. Either the troller knows what to do or someone is seriously in trouble now.

Imo, IF there are no more details about this anymore and this poster on ZooChat disappears never to post again or better yet deletes their account, this increases the odds of this being real.

On the other hand, if there are more "leaks" shortly after this, you can 100% immediately discount it.
