So, yesterday's live broadcast, didn't any valuable information be interrupted?
Nobody's saying it's a "good thing" or a "bad thing". It just is what it is.Also yea they did make the okapi out of the zebra, but that shouldn't be seen as a good thing with how much its shoulders dislocate.
Oh yeah you have that no snake rule. Still I think for anywhere else pythons aee extremely common. When you come to New Zealand you'll find several zoos that have exactly zero snakes. One has chameleons, however.
The tail itself would need to be animated, so it does not go through the ground when the Baboon would be sitting etc. And yes, they would most likely provide the Baboon with some new animations, even if it did not really "need" it. They usually do, to differentiate the animals a bit more, like the animal is made from another, but it has different mating animations, animations to play with enrichments, sometimes sleeping animations etc.Would the baboon really need THAT many new animations, it's not like baboons really use their tails for much anyway. I feel like it would be pretty easy to make in the rigging/animation department.
I appreciate the shoutout, but honestly what little I know about this stuff is what I've absorbed through osmosis from you and others more "in the know".So what @NZFanatic said is correct, it's perfectly possible for them to have a devil and a kiwi in the same pack; as their tools would easily allow them to get a headstart on the kiwi rig and animations by starting with the ratite animations they already have.
The baboon would also need to get the swimming animations from the proboscis monkey, right? It would be nice to have a second swimming primate!Would the baboon really need THAT many new animations, it's not like baboons really use their tails for much anyway. I feel like it would be pretty easy to make in the rigging/animation department.
What about cobras?Imo the only one we actually need is a species of chameleon.
One cobra, one chameleon (can't decide if Parson's, panther or Jackson's), one gecko and one python. What about cobras?
Well I wouldn't mind getting 5 exhibit species alongside an update adding new sizes for the anniversary. Rather then out standard habitat animal. Whya do you think? One cobra, one chameleon (can't decide if Parson's, panther or Jackson's), one gecko and one python.
And the green anaconda.
And more turtles.
Oh man i wish they will give us a free exhibit animal in between DLCs or both a WTE animal and regular exhibit animal in every DLC.
Would definetly be down for that.Well I wouldn't mind getting 5 exhibit species alongside an update adding new sizes for the anniversary. Rather then out standard habitat animal. Whya do you think?
Is this from the old livestream? Or a new one?“It’s going to be interesting, We’ll see what happens, But it’s not going to be good” -Tim the developer, 13 minutes into the livestream
Honestly, I would kill for this. I just don’t know what animals could pick, there are so many good options!Well I wouldn't mind getting 5 exhibit species alongside an update adding new sizes for the anniversary. Rather then out standard habitat animal. Whya do you think?
Yes. Getting few interesting exhibit species would be in my opinion more exciting than mammal, which in frontier eyes isn't worthy being DLC inclusion.Well I wouldn't mind getting 5 exhibit species alongside an update adding new sizes for the anniversary. Rather then out standard habitat animal. Whya do you think?
I went into a little more detail in some other post about this, but large snakes are unfortunately commonly kept in way to small enclosures. I disagree that our exhibit is big enough to house multiple of those giant snakes. And, this differs by country and some dont even have such laws, but in my country a 4x4m terrarium doesnt meet the minimum official dimensions required to keep a reticulated python or green anaconda if you calculate with a bodylength of 7m, even less so if you calculate with the (admittedly rather unlikely) maximum size of 9m given in literature or want to keep more than one individual.I think we'd only really need smaller sizes. The current exhibit we have is huge. You can fit 3 reticulated pythons in it. Zoos have stuck 3 reticulated pythons in it.
If y'all check the Houston Zoo reptile house, there is a huge exhibit in the very center that used to be home to Blanco, the leucistic gator we had (he's since been moved to Crocodile Encounters in a much larger pond). Now, we have 3 pythons in it (standard, albino, and melanistic)...
So, basically, we don't need a larger exhibit. We need a smaller one. Ideally, we could have one that's 1/4 the size (similar to the counters) and maybe one that's 1/8 the size (similar to the ATMs and small vending machines).
With the way construction works, we could also have one that's half as tall
