So what should I do now to get an Anaconda with 70mio CR right now? Invest 20-30 hours in trading or 200-300 hours in bounty hunting?
Possibly not worry about getting the big ship. Master Chief did just fine in a Warthog and a couple of guns.

People have been urging for ALL income to be improved for months, but FD don't give a crap because they're trying to keep their playerbase around as long as possible so that they have time to make some DLCs to sell so that this game doesn't turn out to be a big flop, which in all honesty it already is.
It's telling that they're already firing "content creators."

You are exactly right. FD don't care at all. At night, they sneak into your home and leave little rabbit poos under your pillow.
Ah man! I thought they were raisins!
I think you are giving FD way too much credit. They don't have a vision as it relates to how the dynamic economy is supposed to function. If they did, we'd know it by now. I also don't think they are trying to maintain theri customer base, because the only CMDRS that would support the economic nerfing are the hardcore purists or those that made their riches and don't want to see others have any similar opportunity. The rest of us that put a premium on our time, don't drink this koolaid.
FD is reactionary and behind the curve. And with serious broken features like multiplayer alive and kicking, it's a shame that anyone finding a quick money making opportunity must be crushed.
How about crushing the bugs and broken features in the game FD?
Are you sure they were salty raisins? They could have been Cocoa Puffs!![]()
One thing I've noticed in most of the posts of people complaining is a reference towards "how am I supposed to get an anaconda?". My question is, "What would you do with it if you had it?" Nowhere in this game do I see anything that requires anyone to have an Anaconda to do anything. Exploring, mining, trading, pirating, bounty hunting, missions can ALL be done in most any ship in the game. Oh, I'm sure it would be NICE to have an Anaconda to fly around but I just don't see where I HAVE to have one!
Heck, I bet over time, you could make about as many credits in a Cobra, Asp, or Adder just because you have much less support costs associated with them. And, if you end up getting ganked or explode for some silly reason, much less to worry about for replacement!
Think about it!![]()
As many people (including myself) have already said multitudes of times in this and other threads. There's absolutely nothing to do in this game right now besides grind for bigger ships. You're right, there's no reason to have bigger ships besides the fact that bigger ships are cool.
I, and others, want big ships because they're cool, not because they're necessary. Given the complete lack of ANYTHING fun to do in game right now, at least FD could take pity on us and let us grind until we die of boredom to get the big ships.
But it seems that FD never want anyone to fly said big ships.... for some reason which cannot be comprehended.
Another thing to consider here is the ecconomic food chain all starts with trading.
Take away the profit for trading and you take away the profit for piracy....
Take away the pirates and there isn't anyone to bounty hunt....
So should we all be explorers then?

A game to be enjoyed for years and yet people already complain about how hard it will be to get the biggest ship... a few weeks after release... sigh.
That's NOT what this game is about.

FD should put a few warning signs on their site.
Or some sort of test to make sure the buyer is in the correct state of mind for this type of game.
I'm glad I now have to look for better trade routes on a more regular basis. It was WAY too easy.
I wish people would quit coming up with these terribly dumb analogies when they're trying to excuse how boring Elite is.
"OH, but REAL mining is really boring, so it should be boring in the game too."
"People that work at STARBUCKS don't ever get to own a ferrari when they grind their entire lives, so why should you?"
"Trucking in real life takes forever and destroys your body whilst being incredibly boring, so Elite should be like that too!"
This is a VIDEOGAME that people are supposed to play to have FUN. I know everyone has been thoroughly brainwashed by companies that grinding for imaginary credits/guns/progression/levels/whatever is a good thing, but just because something is terrible in real life doesn't mean that I should spend my free time doing something terrible in game.
And inb4 someone tells me to do something else.
What else is there to do in game that you can do for free, without hours/days/weeks of grinding?
This entire game is a grind simulator. This might as well be called Elite: Boring Trade Routes That Pay a Pittance.
