Mind explaining Engineer Day? I know it was when FD found and fixed a bug from the Engineers that made players have game breaking ships but was there more to it?
It's probably a TOS violation, but collecting a list of griefers would allow us to do a lot of PSN ID blocking in our downtime while at work and such.

How would they go about something like that? Flooding the market or something like hostile action in the area? The whole shared galaxy thing intrigues me as I've no experience of it yet.
A glitch was discovered that meant that G5 upgrades could be achieved using G1 mats. This meant it was much cheaper to keep on engineering modules again and again until you got an Uber role.

That's organising a witch hunt. You can't do that. They can do what they do and claim to call it 'role play'.
Who says any of this is anything to do with SDC? SDC are mostly PvP players aren't they? I can't imagine them having any interest in affecting the BGS, or indeed the PS4 launch.
Not really, you're just blocking them from your game, not going after them directly.
Where there's publicity, there's SDC. Of course there's no 'proof'. But if you were a betting person...

Thing is, PS4 is always recoring video to the HD; easy enough to provide quick proof/evidence of aggression via YouTube (which I will do regardless) or GIF. Witch hunt avoided.
Oh they'll do anything if they think it will get them noticed, as "a means to an end", ie blackmailing FD into changing things to how they want them.
You'd think. FD have been not always quick on video proof in the past, in fact they've been known for ignoring it. However, perhaps they are indeed turning over a new leaf...

Frontier are working on the Thargoids, not what SDC want. Frontier are a company of hundreds of really smart people and listed on the stock exchange. They aren't going to be 'blackmailed' by a couple of dozen players who play their game.
They did so before, didn't they? When they said they had taken many videos of in-game exploits and because FD ignored them, they put them on the forum? Kinda fell a bit flat on their faces.
I think you slightly underestimate what a tightly coordinated group can do when they have a little free reign to do it in. Especially when everyone else isn't that tight.
