They should do something about BGS mechanics cause it takes much more effort to end a lockdown and cause it than to end it or fight against it happening, especially in a system which has a respawning Sidewinder just give free and easy kills to those causing the lockdown.

Is this the problem that murdering innocent ships counts as an instant one point towards lockdown, whereas handing in a whole page of bounty-hunting claims counts as one point towards stability?

Some of the BGS people "went public" with a plea to get that sorted a few months back. I suspect it's more complex to fix than it seems, or it probably would already have been.

And yes, unfortunately at the moment it only seems to take one disgruntled CMDR stealing sweets from the younger boys to keep a system in perma-lockdown.

G5 Shield Boosters - that's what Didi does. No one else.

So only important to PvPers then
G3's from Lei Cheung will be fine for PvE, and many players don't even need shield boosters for their gameplay.

However given the lore on engineers, loners that don't care about politics etc, I don't get why Lockdown even effects them. Sure Lave Station, Lave System, Leesti, but not Vatermann LLC itself.

As far as I know the two main protagonists that are coordinating this conflict are:
Cmndr Mangal Oemie for the AEDC
Cmndr Whoeva for the LRN

Any system with a HazRES has an parade of respawning weak mining ships and you don't even have to re-log to get more of those to show up or worry about the police showing up.

Conversely, LRN's BGS position makes it more than usually vulnerable to Lockdown - a faction in a different context might be able to end a Lockdown in a single day, and avoid getting into them for months at a time. (Unless it wanted to, of course - from a BGS perspective, being in Lockdown makes it harder for LRN to lose influence)

Make rares an occasional spawn in wreckage POIs in the local region, problem solved.

If it's alternatives that are the question you can get Lavian Brandy - in small quantities - from the cargo holds of certain megaships and installations. Slow ... but maybe quicker than waiting for a Lockdown to end.

The lockdown will end eventually - it has a fixed maximum duration, even if no attempts are made to end it. Patience is the only real requirement.

First of all we are sorry that there are third parties not involved in the Lave conflict suffering negative consequences because of it.

But the Alliance has been invaded by a coalition of pirates and murderers. As the Alliance is a mutual defense pact, a "Case of Alliance defense" is now happening . The aggressors operate out of Lave and attack a multitude of Alliance systems.

Once Lave is belonging to the Alliance again, this will stop. It started when unknown forces started murdering Alliance ship to force an "election" at gun point. Since then these acts of terror have spread through the whole Alliance westside. Facilitated by a bunch of unknown groups unwilling to even state that they take part.

This continues while the defenders of Alliance space are constantly being harassed, insulted and attacked on an hourly basis.

You guys have no clue who's attacking you. Its not LRN, we do not operate out of Lave we are legion we are many.
Hearing these repeated statements about LRN attacking you makes us laugh on a daily basis. Still Longan isnt working ;-)

The problem is, the system never stays out of lockdown long. As soon as the cooldown period is over, the system is returned to a Lockdown state, since certain Alliance commanders, mostly AEDC and AID aligned keep murdering system security.
I understand that is a legitimate game mechanic, but for that matter so is the ability for the rest of the galaxy to retaliate and burn AEDC and AID's BGS to the ground in any system they have a presence. Enjoy that 1% influence boys.

Just a friendly warning (though warning is too strong a word) before there is an issue, this thread is in the BGS forum, and so any questions dealing with lockdown state, how to maintain it, remove it, whether is should be changed by not by FD are fair game. Please keep out of subjects that should be in the dangeous dicussion or the dangerous groups forum.

Lockdown is a low-priority state, so it should be possible to extend the period between lockdowns by lining up other low-priority states to go live before lockdown cycles back in. With an Agricultural economy, both Boom and Outbreak should be easy enough to get lined up, and Civil Unrest is always an option.

(Higher priority states would be better of course, but would really need LRN to be present in a second system)

Honestly, I think there's just a load of people playing this game who have a strong aversion against alcohol and try to keep that evil away from others. And they shall try again!
