Fdev states scorpion is not available for consoles yet galnet news thinks otherwise

So fdev have stated that this new combat srv is not coming to consoles, but when i read galnet news it tells me i quote “the scorpian sRV is now available to purchase from military ecomany ports.”

So I went to Faceces and surprise, surprise no new srv.

I mean what fdev, what gives, talk about rubbing console players face’s in it, like tauting us with a ps5 that we know were never going to get because it’s just out of reach.

I think Fdev know us console sods have been stung enough. Never mind throwing a scorpion into the mix, eh... 🦂

It does seem to be a case of console players being treat like the proverbial ginger step kid. Would be nice to have the odd bone thrown our way once in a while, that said the Scorpion would only come in handy to whack skimmers and Guardian sentinels in Horizons.

I could have sworn they said we were getting the scorpion. Maybee I was just hearing about the multi limpets and the scorpion being released at the same time and just associated it together.

1- People need to separate in-game stuff from IRL Frontier Developments.
2- Game dev making new stuff exclusive to the newest expansion? Yes, this is SOP.
3- "It shouldn't be hard to code Galnet to show different stories." Do you have any inside knowledge to confirm this, @Stinja? Or need I refer to what three things everyone on the Internet is, again?

I am going to put this very bluntly, and no, you will not like it.

PC should not have to have things delayed because consoles are too weak to get the same expansion running.

Sorry, but I'm saying it as it is.

This game was PC first, and you should expect PC to be getting things first.

Also, things get pulled. Sorry, but games get cancelled, and sometimes only on certain platforms whilst still going ahead on others. Life sucks like that.

You should still be of a mindset that Odyssey is never going to be on consoles, as frankly the behaviour from FD on this topic right now is no different to the Mac situation. Look at how that ended...

Let me restart here. I logged on, which I rarely do, since you know.... no updates of any note or even acknowledgement for or towards console players.
SRV and Limpet control was offered on GalNet at some point while I was away. I thought to myself, cool. No Odyssey, but maybe they're gonna throw us a small bone here. Soo..

Like the OP, I went in search for about an hour until I realized it was yet another cruel joke played upon us consolers. We aren't getting anything, (aside from the limpet controller which... seriously?) why think otherwise when FDev fails to even address it?

What do I do now FDev?
Do I continue to play this game and grind to keep my Fleet Carrier in hopes that Odyssey will be released?
Do I stop all together because it's not happening and there is nothing left (end game-wise) for me? I mean a lot of stuff is broken and the new stuff and fixes are all geared to other players.
I see the new footage of fleet carrier interiors and it reminds me that I won't be seeing it, in fact... half the time my carrier jumps without me and a relog is necessary.

"Oh, here's a Skorpion dual seat SRV.. not for you though... you must just keep using the broken multi crew where you and your mates cannot even land on a planet together without exiting MC".

I love the game but have spent years grinding on the same thing over and over. If you expect me to keep doing that (grinding and purchasing Arx) Then it would seem proper that you give me something to hang on to while doing so.

Perhaps your plan is to let this pass and hope we go away so console porting is not necessary and you need not face any of this. If so cut the lifeline now please.
A new ship Horizons only version, access to the SRV, even a word from the pie in the sky guy DB about our future would go a long ways. Some of us have been waiting since Elite, through Elite Dangerous until now and others joined console recently because of the promise of a great game that was cutting edge and larger than life only to find a console community broken, offended and hurt by the lack of communication.
So what should I/We do Fdev, Have faith or no?

Did I say they did? No. Also it's irrelevant (and more than a little condescending in tone I might add). The first new SRV in 7 years should be made available to all, whether that's a paid option via Odyssey or via a small fee to 'purchase' the SRV in Horizons. I don't think that excluding 1/3 of players behind a pay option that they have no access to, is fair.

I'll reserve the right to be of whatever mindset I choose. Go back 2 years and you'll find me predicting that Odyssey will end exactly like the Mac situation. Also though, not relevant. Locking new content behind a paywall 1/3 of users simply don't have access to, is unfair.
