I was reading a bit about what happened in the Lugh war and found it quite interesting. I was wondering how many commanders actually fought in that war for the side of the Federation. Who out there was supporting the Federation in this struggle?
I did. Fought in the Combat Zones for Federation (top 5%) then left because I thought we'd won and there didn't seem to be anything else I could do...
There didn't seem to be any good way to interfere with the enemy's CG without picking up bounties - as it was a Federation system that would have meant negative rep with my own side
As I didn't have a trading ship then, and our other CG was so far away, I wasn't involved with that one
With hindsight, the odds were obviously stacked against us by the set up of the CGs

OP, the shipping counter counted over 10,000 total ships through Lugh during the height of the war. This number remained in this area for more than 5 days. There are suppositions of numbers, but no one has any real hard numbers related to them. My estimates are that there were roughly 2000 Fighters for Lugh, with around 4000 fighting for the Federation.
Out of curiosity how did you get/estimate these figures? Cheers to CSGs by the way, Lugh was an amazing event, looking forward to a new one![]()
Yes it was unfortunately hugely broken. The air war was won by feds hands down, dominated. But this achieved nothing. Then because a lot of people play just to grind (some of my friends included) they swapped to play th3 other side. Then the crimson won the air war (wait... its already won. ..) and that counted... lol crimson had control of the skies. It was very badly run. The victory should have stopped the opposite sides air war. Hopedully they learn from that. Add to that both sides did trading in solo to a large extent. Not a good feeling at the end of it for me and my friends. But it was fun!! N in fairness all hell would have broken loose had crims lost the system.
i hope fd learnt a lot for future competitve goals. Make opposing goals finish each others goal when completed for a start.
The Feds received my services for as long as they paid for them. They did not include a non-compete clause.
