I am loyal to both the legitimate heir and truest personification of the values of a citizen of the Empire, Arissa Lavigny-Duval.

Lots of talk about tradition but I feel it's nothing more than a catchword for the foppish and foolish Imperials. If an Imperial CMDR wishes to hold true to traditional loyalty, then s/he must back Harold as the heir, despite his father's bizarre disinheritance of his own line (am I the only one who finds this very suspicious? I don't even know if it's legal!). The Princesses are out of the picture, regardless of how picturesque they may be. The Empire has always been primogeniture in it's succession.
If tradition is to break, then CMDR Starcloak is right. Let us have the man who holds true to the ancestral Emperors who founded and flourished our culture. If the house of Duval has waned, let the house of Patreus ascend and bring about a renaissance of Imperial expansion. Let new blood bring new life and vigour to the Empire, if blood be necessary for your social fidelity.
What Emperor kills his own line, or allows it perish? What Emperor kills his own Empire? Such madness cannot be allowed to happen, and Patreus is here to prevent it. The Empire IS more than any individual - we are all part of the Imperial family, to greater or lesser extents. The ideal is in each and every one of us. Stop being obsequious to a bloody, limp tradition and brace yourself to your Imperial duty.
The Federal dove has been lost in hyperspace, CMDRs, and now a hawk is roosting on Mars. How long till it makes war? Not long at all if it sees us divided and fractured. It has not forgotten it's defeat at our hands and it has not stopped hating us.
Get real and stop fantasying about gentle persuasion and progressive social decay in the Princesses. It's time to prepare for war and expansion. Back the power who's forte war is, back Senator Patreus.
My problem with Patreus is his thievery of indebted systems disguised as imperialism and patriotism, his underlying tactics within the Senate and his apparent desire to uproot Imperial society to rule over everything in the Galaxy. Patreus is the 32nd century's Julius Caesar, but we do not need a Julius Caesar to rule the Empire; Julius Caesar only got to where he was by plundering the Gauls in warfare regarded as illegal by contemporaries and then continuing the spit upon the Roman Republic by failing to obey the Senate. We do not need a Caesar, but a Marcus Junius Brutus or a Cicero.

Conspiracy theories! A solid foundation for a brave new world! If the facts does not fit the agenda, create some new ones! Let us enter a fabricated future, standing on layers of falsehood. Side effects include, but is not limited to: A certain sinking feeling, a tendency to only speak half-truths, a gradual loss of fashion awareness, a taste for foreign odd looking cookies, and improper joviality in the presence of plebs!

His Most Glorious Majesty so happened to make a choice for the best of the Empire. To ask questions is to disobey! To act against His Will, is treachery! No mysteries to be found here! Move along, or start to dress properly at least! Optional buttoning? Really?

As far as blood-fanatics go, how do you know Arissa is even Hengist's daughter? (Quite apart from the fact that she's not legitimised). Did he take a paternity test? He left it awful late to tell everyone about her. One wonders why he did not bring it up sooner, thus securing the sucession and avoiding any succession-crisis mess.

Another question - does anyone actually have access to Senator Patreus' financial records? No? Then how do you know he is not just legitimately collecting on a debt? What about all those systems and corporations he's invested in that, oh, were successful and actually made their repayments, and he didn't collect on? Do you honestly believe he would be as wealthy as he is now if the vast majority of his investments weren't successful? Why would systems even accept his money if he was a supposedly well-known loan shark?

I confronted the question of trust myself - for it is true that no one can truly know, for sure, if a person is what they claim to be, until they can see for themselves. The answer came thusly: "No one can know that. No human is infallible. But that's what tyrant-killers are for, isn't it?" I take him at his word. Either he tells it true, or I myself will see my dagger covered in blood.

Imperial Baron Rudolphus is allied in Synteini with Zemina Torval.

And we need more support of, Miners Traders for more resources and Warriors that will bring safety

I'm probably going to be hanging out in Aisling territory, because the game somewhat revolves around money, and it looks as though Aisling's benefits are money-oriented.

Actually Torval is the money oriented power in the empire and Aisling is Anti-business and trade. She's Pro "Social Issues" >.>

I think this Zachary Hudson guy is such a nice man, such nice hair, perfect Imperial gentleman.
He is very pleasant.
;)

Cheers Cmdr's

If you want i can find Mr Hudson a guaranteed job in the empire :). Get him some hard labor to round out his physique perhaps?
